I'd also remind you that it's Police Simulator *Patrol Officers* :D

You guys are so laughable, that's the only thing you have to say? Correcting someone on your games name? So many issues the community has and you address none of them in the comments that you are obviously reading, but this... ?

Your business concept is a steaming pile of dog sht. Make a game with a misleading title, remove violence even tho it is unfortunately part of the job when you become a police officer and inevitable, so to maximize the audience who is allowed to play it. Release a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ half assed game and release 2 Paid DLC vehicles per game feature. Unfortunately there is a lot of people that are still stupid enough to buy your game and DLC's.

All you do is ignore the majority of your playerbase's requests and pump out paid DLC instead of fixing your game.
People make games to make money. That's just a fact. A lot of devs arguably the majority don't give a flying **** about the playerbase it's about the money. Take rockstar for example. Rampant cheating is all over the place being one of the most notorious cheating hot spots for PC. They do nothing. But when people start getting free money from modders instead of buying shark cards. boy they jump on that REAL fast. When profits get targeted. The game industry is about profit in the long run. Nothing more. Anyone who says any different is a liar. Or doesn't know twice around a doorknob.

To be fair. It is a highway patrol simulation not standard police which people don't seem to realize for some strange reason. (Seen way to many posts where people say where is this or that that has nothing to do with highway patrol at all. Even hostage negotiate and i'm like... what...?) They are NOT the same thing. That being said. I do think fire fights are non existent in this game. I have not seen one time a pistol is needed for any situation since buying this game. What exactly is the point of even having a gun in this game i sincerely don't understand.

Shootings involving the highway patrol are not that rare. Well I don't think there should be just solving homicides per say. That is Police job not high way patrol. There should be shootings on occasion. Road ragers shooting at each other, pursuing drive by vehicles, What really confuses me the most by FAR. Is this is a game specifically revolving around high way patrol right? Where is there no high speed pursuits...?

This game is not revolving around high way patrol. It's called "Patrol officers" in reference to your regular beat cop. Officers who go out on patrol, not homicide detectives, not SWAT or hostage negotiators as you say, just regular cops it is literally supposed to be a standard police sim.

To your second point: Fire fights are non existent in this game, there is currently no scenario that allows for a legitimate use of your service pistol, AI will never attack you even if they are "armed" / carry a gun / knife on them.

I think the problem here is that the Dev team is German and either has no idea about american policing or what my take would be: They want this game to be more of a social critique of american policing then an actual simulator.

Difference here being rockstar actually knows how to release a somewhat polished game that does not look like half of it's assets are free placeholder models and animations are from 1998. This game is in an alpha state and they charge 30€ for it, instead of polishing ANYTHING in this game, animations, character models, AI ect. they just release new reskin DLC vehicles. That's superbly laughable and even more are the people who buy it.

Come on, the traffic AI is a joke at the very best. I shudder to think of how adding car chases into that hot mess would go.

Well that's stupid.

The game is called "Police Simulator" for crying out loud. I get that there are some things that might be a bit too graphic, but ask any police officer ever and they'll tell you that being a police officer is one of the most dangerous jobs in the world.
I'd also remind you that it's Police Simulator *Patrol Officers* :D
This is an extremely ignorant comment and no surprise it came from a developer. In the United States, where the game is based, patrol officers go on hot pursuits and deal with individuals resisting arrest. It's not Germany. You're European trying to develop an American police simulator without an understanding of American policing. You never saw COPS? Seriously? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tKTtQ1t0HwU
How the do we have an AMERICAN police simulator and no hot pursuits . Also when we transport arrestees why are they on the curb alone? They would of ran off. Where is the cop that arrested them? The huge issue here is the development team is German and never spend one second doing a ride along with actual American police.

the team is just lazy. they say they researched what being a cop is like in the usa...they need to fire who ever did that research. the team seems to think being a cop is a very safe job lol

If you want a more Hollywood action style of policing, check out Flashing Lights. If you want something a little more down to earth, this game is more like it. Plenty of officers (including those in urban areas) can go their entire career without getting in a gunfight, and high speed chases aren't exactly a normal thing. I won't pretend to be a police officer, my information comes from those I know that actually do this for a living and talking to other cops in the USA. I suggest those of you that think gunfights and car chases being a common thing (even in the US) actually talk to an officer about it. People want to think it's more common than it is because of things like YouTube and the news. I mean, you can even use some basic logic to figure it out. What are people going to be more likely to post/watch? A beat cop handing out parking tickets and patrolling, or an officer involved shooting? I'm not saying it doesn't happen, it's just not an every day thing like some people think.

However, for a GAME I agree it might be kinda nice if you had the rare chance of dealing with someone that's armed. The rare chase might be interesting, but there's no way it could go on in this environment without it ending in the suspect crashing hard after about 10-20 seconds. XD
