Fire Hydrant points taken away

I just issued a ticket for a car parking beside a fire hydrant, and it took points away from me, they were parked on the street and there is a parking lot beside the hydrant, if that makes any difference.

Shouldn't be a parking spot beside the hydrant. That's kind of entrapment if it is, lol.

Did you actually choose the specific citation for blocking a hydrant or did you pick 'no parking zone' (which is technically not wrong, but not specific enough to count)?

That's why it removed points then, there's a specific one for fire hydrants like Shepered mentioned.

I had the same issue a while ago: A car was parked in front of a hydrant, but there was also a parking meter. :-)

Unfortunately, I decided that the hydrant takes precedence over the meter and issued a ticket, which resulted in a loss of CP. (And yes, I picked the correct violation.)

What if a hydrant is by a building and the car is not by a hydrant but parked in the exact spot across from the hydrant like if u would get out on the passenger side and u would walk to the building u would be in front of the hydrant this is on that one way street by the Wilcox station plus there’s no fire lane in that area

I ran across that spot with the hydrant having a parking meter. Made me laugh.
