Placing road objects and collecting?

Hi, I placed barriers and cones, and after clearing the accident, I cant pick up the cones, it says im carrying the max ammount, and there isnt an option to off load in the car. how do I remove the cones from the road please?

It's likely that you are carrying a roadblock. You cannot carry a roadblock and cones at the same time, so you have to place the roadblock in your trunk, then you'll be able to pick up the cones. I've had it bug before where I had "full cones" twice (some down and some in my inventory) and I just dumped a bunch on the sidewalk and picked up the ones in the road and put them in my car and left the others on the sidewalk. lol

This happens whenever you place down a combination of barriers and cones. It seems to bug out based on what you were last carrying. So if you were carrying a barrier last, even if you put it down or put it back in your car, you'll find you won't be able to pick up cones that have already been placed on the road (and vice-versa). So all you need to do is go to your car, collect from the car whatever it is you want to pick up from the road, and immediately put it back in the car. Then you'll find you can collect that item type again.
