We are looking into more ways but I really think the mods are quite cool right now :)
Hey FlyNora,
I'm going to add a quoted response below from a reply I made to another post the other day. Hopefully it helps you out and gives you a little more flavor to your game! The Steam Workshop has a bunch of skins/mods available to shake up your gameplay a bit and it's very user friendly!
Yep! If you look at the Steam Workshop for PS:PO you can change the looks of the car and the player clothing. You can even name yourself a Sergeant and get stripes, etc.
When I just looked at the Workshop filter for items, this is what comes up:
Patrol Car Skin (110 available to choose from)
Officer Uniform Skin (60 available to choose from)
Police Officer Names (3 available to choose from)
Patrol Car Sounds (16 available to choose from)
Patrol Car Lights (20 available to choose from)

I think you are also talking about additional car make/models in addition to being able to change the clothing/car skins--hopefully they are working on some more models. I read that people that bought the game during early access will get a free "new car", but people will be able to purchase it after early access for a few dollars.
