Is there a difference between issuing a ticket or a warning?
As per title, is there any difference here?

You can use either, at your discretion, just like a regular law enforcement officer does. You get the same number of points for issuing a ticket or giving a warning--if the person committed the offense (you witnessed it).

I can imagine in later programming of the game, maybe they will allow a person to get angry after getting a ticket and attack you; whereas if you gave a warning, they would be happy. We'll see....

yes.

a warning is a warning, people leave like that.

a ticket is a ticket, people need to pay (and so be angry or sad).

it's already in the game and affect your xp/points at the end of shift depending on the situation.
(as for atatcking a police officer in return of receiving a ticket.. that's the worse idea i have ever ear XD.. i mean, who will do that? going from a money ticket to custody and prison ? yeah.. nope XD)

I have not noticed any difference in SP between a ticket or warning? Both give the exact same when I have used them.

arrest someone, check that person, notice lots of drugs... give a warning and goodbye.

you'll notice a difference than a ticket and custody XD

like i said, depend on situation.

Thats not the same thing. Arrest is different than ticket or warning yes, but I am saying there is no SP difference between Warning and Ticket that I have seen.

if i give a warning to someone wearing drugs or illegal weapon discovered after a check, it give me negative points.

i dont if i give a ticket or arrest.

that's a small difference,

You don't think that happens in real life? Common sense isn't common.

We are talking about two different things I think. Certain crimes demand higher punishment and thats fine.

I am talking specifically about things like Jaywalking, Littering, Expired License/ID, lesser crimes essentially. Here there is no difference in SP between Ticket and Warning, both are correct actions according to the game. So my question is, apart from personal preference, is there any gameplay reason to pick one over the other?

i know it happen in real life.
but i also know that a police officer will have to answer many questions to his superior and such if he open fire in the middle of a crowed street just to "stop a criminal" or "respond to gun crime".
the concept of the police is not to shoot people, if a criminal have a gun and use it, the main base is to call for reinforcement, not to answer the shooting instantly. even more in middle of a city.
officers have the perfect right to defend themself, but again, if someone is shooting them in city center, there is low chance officers will just shoot back. they aren't cowboy nor terminator.
they will mtake cover and call for reinforcement, shooting only to protect themself if required, but not engage the criminal straigth up.

now if your everyday is to see police shooting people straigth up like this, i understand why police cruelty and violence exist in some countries.

as stupid as it may sound, between defending themself straigth up at the risk to make more civilians in danger, and covering themself from the shooting waiting for back up to secure the place and support, i dont think a normal officer will straigth up do the first option unless that officer want to put his carreer (and life) to an end very fast.

as for arresting someone and that person suddently use a gun, then yes you can answer with your gun, but that extremly rare as you dont even just need some skills to survive, but also lots of chance from the beginning.
Many officers died from this surprises attacks, because they arent much to do. And officer dont put their gun out constantly when theyarrest someone.
for the officers who survived, many of them (most) not just killed the suspect, because suspect usually have advantage of surprise to run away quickly. But just run back to cover before calling for back up and dont engage the suspect in a 1v1 street gun fire.

you want action in the game, right, i got this. Like many people around.

yet, devs do what they want to do. Not what the people want them to do. there is no points to constantly harass them with asking for adding gun shooting, it make low sens in the way that as long we play solo (or couple with friend) we technically can't just shoot people in middle of the street like this.

as for answering someone attacking with knife or else, self defense is a thing for officer, without guns.

You can find tons of videos on youtube of officers by themselves in a gunfight. Its cause they have to. LEOs go towards the gunshots because if they dont others can lose their lives. They are told you are lucky if your not by yourself but you have to go even if no one else is there yet. People have turned violent over tickets. Its a job that requires you to be observant and prepared. the shootout in Brevard County is a perfect example of how quickly the situation can change.
