It’s a fake ID if you can’t find the information when you open the computer
After checking the ID press H for the police computer, then Q to scroll over for the background check. There you can see the registered owner of the identification. If it's blank its a fake ID. There you can also see if there's a warrant on them and so on.
Fake ID is when the background check returns saying something like: "The requested ID could not be found in the system."
Stolen ID is when a valid ID exists in the system, but the person carrying it and the person in the computer are completely different. In your case @ratedRsuperstar, you should have arrested the female w/ a Mohawk for a stolen ID.
