Better then GTA V Mod LSPDFR ?
Hi.

The GTA V mod LSPDFR** already offers a lot. In addition, there are for this mod then still texture packs for vehicles, uniforms, etc. for the various countries, more scripts, AI support so that it feels like you have real amplification etc etc etc.

So as a simulator it should offer at least what a mod can offer... does it do that ?

No, not in it's current state. Maybe in the future when they add more content. It is early access after all.
Smketreez 2021 年 6 月 19 日 上午 10:35
Yes and No.

The game just released so it isn't fair to compare it to a mod that's been running for a few years now, obviously the mod has went through its growing pains, and has a host off things you can modify and change.

That being said, if you look at the trello and where they are wanting the game to go, mod support is on that list, meaning we could see a ton of content flow in from the modding community.

Fair or not, only the current status counts.
Could have, could have... there are more than enough simulators on Steam that can't do anything and more than enough EA games that haven't developed further, have been abandoned or haven't achieved much after years.

That's why I only wanted to know the current status, because woulda, woulda, coulda has become irrelevant for gamers since even AAA developers promise more than they deliver.

Only what is ingame is also ingame...

Edit : Years for a hobby... a mod should only be weeks/months for a full-time project and since it is EA it is already out of the hard alpha...

Of course it's fair to compare a mod to a paid game, even gta without mods would be a better police simulator than this.

That's still not a fair comparison, let's be real LSPDFR on week 1 compared to this game would be a vastly different answer to LSPDFR after years versus a game less than a week into Early Access.

I get your point don't get me wrong, there is a TON of games that either never left EA, or never delivered on their roadmap, but again it isn't fair to say well those didn't so this one won't either.

Yes perfectly reasonable to compare a AAA title on its 5th iteration to an indie game less than a week old... /s

you expect an indie game that came out 2 days ago to have as many features as a mod that's had years of updates and feature additions built for a AAA game as the bones? Na man, you're expecting too much from week one early access

Exactly, and its because he has no or little clue how game development is, because if he did, he would not have said what he said.

No hard feelings, only hard truth.

Considering you can't be a police officer at all in GTA V without mods, leads me to think they've never even played GTA V.

You can't be a police officer in GTA without mods.
Sure you can drive one, but you can't be a cop.

lol i am betatester since 1998 . sometimes working for big worldwide companies in family and friends test (since EA people don't even know that exists anymore) sometimes in indiesupport.

If you COULD read you could read that I said only the current status counts.
The game is since 2 days in the EA... but of course since months or longer already in development, so yes there you can compare it with a hobby mod no matter how old it is !

Especially when you look at ridiculous simulators like "Autobahn Police Simulator" on Steam...

As already written, only what is ingame counts. the developer himself hasn't released anything complex yet. Therefore, only the current status is interesting. Especially since he has other games as "prototypes" on the website and these may also be in development... that doesn't bode well for individual products at small studios.

As you can see, I seem to be more informed than you with my experience as well as about the developers...

Arsat , your just a basher and people shouldnt really listen to him anyways.. LSPDFR has been on going for years and still to this day they have to update the mods in order to keep up with Rock Stars updates.. You cant bash a new title because its not like LSPDFR.. To me i like this one better than LSPDFR because you dont have Rockstar controlling your game. So go play with rockstar and quit bashing and being a dumbas..

What even are you talking about?

How do you know what the development TEAM has or hasn't released anything in a complex state? Were you there for the coding and development process? Sure they have two titles on Steam with a mixed rating, but you have zero idea to their complexity. You're free to make an assumption on the games quality based off reviews, but that's about it.

Secondly again, with the "He". Aesir is a team of 8 which you could find on their website, if you bothered to look instead of just talking nonsense.

Third, of course they have prototypes listed. If you were actually "informed" you'd know full well that's how development companies work. Those are tech demo's where they are testing new things, developing the conceptual ideas for a game etc. That's how a development studio works.

Take what I say with a grain of salt as I haven't played LSPDFR in a quite a while. In some respects this game is a stronger police simulator than LSPDFR. It takes measures to ensure you follow the same laws you are enforcing. You get punished for jaywalking, speeding, causing accidents, etc. Also things like ID's and insurance are both more detailed and consistent. There is fake IDs, fake insurance, no insurance. GTA has stuff like this, but different mods can cause consistency issues between them causing different IDs and the like to appear. This game is also ready to go out of the box, no modding or extra maintenance work required.

With that being said LSPDFR still is a MUCH more open ended platform, that has a much much higher call variety, a bigger more interesting map, and a huge variety of vehicles and liveries to choose from.

So both have a lot they can offer and I would say don't discount Patrol Officers right away, as it does offer a different experience.
