Accident THC And Amphetamine

went to an accident and for the drug test it for both people was that they had THC and Amphetamine. took that as cause to search their cars and found guns in both, and neither was allowed, however one was a taxi. arrested both because i was unsure and ended up losing 75 cp. Anyone know what i did wrong here?

When you took the drug tests, were there both Xs, or did they both have checkmarks?
If they both had Xs, it means negative.

First of all, what reason did you give for arresting them?
Second, I do not think you can have BOTH THC and Amphetamine (Not sure though) so you prolly mistook the "x" for a positive, as mentioned above.

Yea i completely overlooked it. I figured nothing would have shown if they were negative. I think the -75 was unwarranted searching of both vehicles/frisking, but the points was for arresting because of both of them having a gun, but neither of them having a license for it. I was iffy on the taxi cab driver, since irl cabbi's carry guns, but wasnt sure

I made this mistake at first as well. I thought it was showing me a list of what came back positive, I didn't realize it was saying "It could be either of these, but it was neither."

The accident along isn't probable cause for a search. Once they fail either DUI test, then you can search, but without that it makes the search unjustified. I mistook the Xs my first day, then noticed the check mark on the next accident.

I am having the opposite “issue” i arrested a lady for amphetamine DUI and it gave me +75 so as a bonus but didn’t say why
