Awful Freezing

When I do any of a few things like speak to people, get in and out of the car pause or unpause the game, or open the inventory, my game will stutter. It is always two quick stutters. At first it's a split second, almost unnoticeable, but after playing for a half hour or so the stutters are as long as four seconds every time. Is there a way to deal with this?

i have problems with game performance i have a gtx 1660 super with an i5 9400f and it goes from 100 fps to 60 and i suffer from constant stuttering

My semi-potatoe stutters a lot as well.
Still not sure if its the engine/game itself or really my own computer, but I do play "better" looking games without that much probs so ...and even at lowest setting, it stutters as much as in Ultra.

i have these stutter problems only with games which use a unreal engine or the unity engine.

Defrag the disk with the game on it.
Check if it is Full screen, bordeless, try those to see it if helps. It can be the issue that drivers doesn't recognise it on the first plan and doesn't allocate required resources.

Huge performance problems

When the settings are literally set higher then „low“, the game is unplayable due to FPS problems. It’s not like there are small FPS drops, you can barely see anything when moving around because it has like 5 FPS.
Every other game is running on highest settings and the Game also suggests the settings „Ultra“

What type of processor and video card do you have? I don't have any performance issues

Is someone elses Framerate dying driving?

Well as it says above my framerate says goodbye when i drive in the car its even worse when i go in first person mode driving and i love driving like that and my pc is good enough to run it on ultra settings i tried everything that i could think of to make it not killing my frames but it doesnt matter what i do only the driving kills it and that kinda makes me sad so is this on me or has it something to do with the game that needs fixing?

Yeah same here buddy. Overall I have 60 fps but when driving it stutters sometimes (especially when driving fast) I think it's because it's loading everything ahead of you. I've noticed that when driving fast some of the textures are still blurred and so still loading.

thanks for ure reply and yes its pretty much the same thing on my end and if u go first person mode the fps drops down even harder like on 20 and such and in third person it's like dropping down 30-40 (as u said if u drive fast) so i was wondering if it's just me that has that issue or not so im glad im not the only one and im pretty sure ure right bout all the loading stuff u mentioned so ye ty for ure input on this hope they can work something out for that so it is a bit smoother overall cause i rly enjoy playling the game it's bit sad when u get an emergeny and its far away and u try to get there fast that stuttering can cause u 2 crash and cost a bit of time its no big deal over all but still i would love that this would work out soon cause as said above i would love 2 drive in first person but with those frame drops its just impossible right now :D

I get fps drop when I drive a little faster and I have a strong rig, its just the state of the game being EA so its not as optimised yet. Hope they can smooth it out a little more if possible on next update so its not much of a spike.

After trying everything from lowering settings to reinstalling, I found that the issue only occurs with my controller connected. It's a dualshock 4. Disconnecting it fixes the issue, reconnecting brings it back immediately.

This game is terrible when it comes to optimization. I can run Metro Exodus maxed without any issues but when it comes to Police Simulator, I get constant stutters on high (not ultra) settings when driving (with medium pedestrian and vehicle density) - 60 FPS.

Hopefully we'll get some serious optimizations sooner rather than later.
