How on earth I can run after jaywalkers if game penalties ME going against red lights?? Police can't WAIT lights to turn...maybe I need to slip on another side of street from thorough road, not thorough lights?

Avoid running on the crosswalk, if you run across the street without beeing a crosswalk, you will not get penalised.

You can also turn off different penalties in the Settings. By going to (While doing a shift) Settings -> Game -> Scroll down to Gameplay -> Player Violations

In this case: Crossing on a red light (ON/OFF)
But also other penalties:
For example: Siren on for too long (ON/OFF)
Or
Speeding (ON/OFF)

Can confirm, don't jaywalk IN THE CROSSWALKS with the walk/don't walk signals. You can jaywalk or run anywhere else without losing CP. This game does require you to pay attention to your own actions.

Is this some kind practice / law in RL? or just in game, and nah, I don't turn penalties off, I'm gonna just learn and do it right 2nd time.

I'm a bit shy running on road been ran over few times, fun times, I actually was surprised, in bus simulator 18 I could run nilly willy.
