NPC ID not in the system: Not sure what to do

So I've encountered the odd few NPCs where their IDs are not in the system. I've tried arresting them for carrying fake ID, i.e. the one they showed me, but apparently, I get a CP penalty by doing that. Has happened twice now. Not sure what to the real solution is....

It definitely is, no matter how I look at it. Still getting CP penalty. Could be a bug?

I would assume so, usually with a fake ID, the photo will also not match the person who handed it to you.

Happened to me too! No entry, but penalty for arresting for fake ID.

I might have found a solution/work around when it comes to drivers. When this happens, exit the conversation and focus on the license plate of the vehicle. If an entry shows up, compare it to the ID given to you by the driver. If it matches, its not a fake ID.

If there is no vehicle, I'm not sure what the procedure is.

Might be a tad late - but I’ve found that trying to arrest someone with no details on the system the options are blank other than Fake insurance if you arrest them for that loose a couple Co then take the handcuffs off all the rest then show up and you can arrest them for the correct thing and gain points must be a glitch
