Remote play together dead?
^ Title

Been playing with a friend through remote play together for couple days now. Tonight, however, the option to remote play together doesn't show up, despite working in other games. Any ideas what's going on?

So I've used this technique on another game before and it seems to work with PES as well. You need to have another Steam game with the Remote Play feature enabled that you will "overwrite", in my case I'm using Polarity.

1. Go to your PES installation Steam Directory - steamapps\common\eFootball PES 2020

2. Copy EVERYTHING in that folder

3. Go to your other game's installation directory, in my case - steamapps\common\Polarity

4. Delete EVERYTHING in that folder. Paste the PES files into this now empty folder.

5. Rename PES.exe with OtherGame.exe (Whatever the other game was called, rename the PES application with it exactly, in my case I renamed PES.exe to Polarity.exe)

6. Voila, it works!

Then you simply launch "other game" (Polarity) from your steam library and it will actually load up PES with Remote Play enabled. Couple issues, it will show up as playing "other game" on your friends list, no biggie. Secondly, when I tried this I got some errors about no connection to Konami's online servers so presumably you will be limited to remote play against offline AI matches, I haven't tested it.

So hopefully, faurby92, if this works, you can get your master league back up and running :)

I originally saw this technique here if you wanted to read further so full credit to the genius who thought this up.

you can use Moonlight internet straming via Geforce experience to play coop. It needs more time to set up compared to remote play. But set up once it works fine for my friend and me.
that's something I didn't know about, thanks for sharing. Gonna give it a try tomorrow

Serious problem. Steam has deactivated it because he has asked for konami, since they have an agreement with sony, so I have read this has no solution since only sony is the one who will be able to play remotely with friends
I really loved that feature. This was the last time I bought anything from Konami...
If they don't bring this back I'm boycotting Konami (and Steam if they had something to do with this)
I don't think it's coming back, it's been too many days now for this to be temporary
The worst of all is the silence, they don't say nothing, and do for the back door. Very very disappointed whit Konami and steam. One costumer lost
I don't think it's fair to blame Steam. They probably have to listen to Konami. But yeah Konami is dead for me for sure.

Any way to do it with an AMD GPU?
I tried Moonlight with a friend, it works perfectly, probably better than Steam Remote Play together.
The only difficulty you might encounter is related to make it work with two controllers. I managed to resolve going to %Steam Installation Path%/steamapps/common/eFootball PES 2020, starting Settings.exe and selecting DirectInput in "controller" tab.
Then i manually chose the controllers for player 1 and 2.
Again, give it a try, it definitely works.
I have the steam response :
"After looking into the issue, it appears this feature was removed from the game and is no longer available.

For further information on this change, we recommend contacting the games support team for help."
this is beyond a poor show by Konami and I have never been more disappointed in them after having supported their games for years now.
Yeah, I've just gone to play with my friend via remote play and was confused that I couldn't invite him. It's been working flawlessly up until now and then they've just suddenly removed it? Wouldn't be an issue if they actually offered this feature natively in the game since we both own a copy. We want to play us two on the same team vs the AI in a World Cup and Remote Play was the only way we could achieve this. Now we can't. Good game Konami, well played. Won't be buying another PES ever again.
Nomad - In the same boat as you. Started a ML with a buddy and we played the first season together like that, but now we can't continue playing it together.... even though he also own a copy of the game.
Guys give Moonlight a try, it works perfectly.
