Pes has become like FIFA = in effort to make it a simulation, the tired slow animations make the game a chore to play

Every move you make in this game is slow - you can’t turn fast or make any fast moves

Pes used to be so much better - it’s slow and pretty stupid now

Sure it looks gorgeous but even the menu is sllllooooowww - games haven’t necessarily got better over the years that’s for sure

Played both games on PS 4 - turned off FIFA real quick.
PES cons: garbage UI, sloppy menu design and menu graphics (looks like its an alpha version of a full game)

I won't play online, so I don't really give a flying f about those drawbacks.

Fifa's volta is pure sh#te and the game hasn't changed a lot. Looks like wooden sticks and the same goes with player controlling aspect. Not sure what's there to compare really when it comes to the gameplay.

Konami is doing a decent job, however, certain problems remain the same: you need to have a little bit of an IQ to get the game running properly and wait for the Options file.

Even when it is running right, the animations are just slow and sluggish

Demo was the same way

I’ve got multiple versions of Pes sitting here

The gameplay in older Pes games, namely Pes6, is far far more fun to play

the game works fine here on a 2-3 year old laptop, yea its more realistic, players don't turn right away like the used to in older games, so maybe they should make two modes, realistic movements and then more computer movements, then everyone happy. its a fine line you have to take, not just with sport games, RPG games and more too. always asking for some realistic things in RPG's but when they come, you realise you dont wont to spent time resting after everyday or eating food or whatever, takes some of the fun out of the games. the same with football manager, when all the new stuff got into the games you found out all you really wanted to do was buy and sell players and choose the right tactic and win games.

I agree it seems to slow. It's a good game, but way too slow in an attempt to counter Fifa frantic pace. The overall pace isn't that bad, but players' animations are too slow. It''s true that, sometimes players take time to prepare a shot or pass, but when pressed they can move quicker, turn quicker; mainly the good ones. Take a look at a video by Ronaldinho, Messy, Ronaldo, even Zidane, which wasn't the most fast moving of players. They could pull some really sudden and fast reactions.
The overall game is good, but I too feel players should change posture faster.

It still is. I played it earlier today, modded with Enhanced Graphics and 2019 rosters.

There's no need to spend $60 for this treash. Go on Facebook and join the PES FIREBIRD PATCH group - do a search for it and youll find it.

Simply a superior gaming experience in everyway. But people are still playing and modding PES 6 for darn good reason - its possibly the best one ever.

There's got to be a middle ground between "Super fast turns" and "We slowed it down for simulations sake".

I sure as hell am TIRED of the new era of sports games with slow, plodding players on the screen. The old games were simply better.
