Stuttering gameplay with 144 Hz
First I have to say that the gameplay and graphics are superb.

But it’s annoying that the game still suffers the same problems as it’s predecessors:
The gameplay and the videos are stuttering on my high-end PC.

Fortunately I found a workaround to solve the issue: as soon as I set my monitor refresh rate from 144 Hz to 120 hz (or 60 Hz) everything becomes smooth and playable.
I write this because maybe this workaround helps other players too who suffer the same

Does anybody know a better solution as it’s annoying to always change the monitor refresh rate in the NVIDIA Control Panel and change it back to 144 Hz for all other games (which don’t have such a problem)? In the NVIDIA game profiles I can’t force a specific refresh rate (for example 120 Hz) but only a framerate-limit, but this doesn’t help...

Any ideas?

Of course it would be the best solution if Konami would fix this problem but as it wasn’t fixed in previous versions although I found posts of other players also reporting this problem I fear they don’t really care...

I don't think there is another solution. I've been doing the same thing for 2 years now.
Except I change the refresh rate from windows' display settings>monitor>refresh rate, and not Nvidia Control Panel.

i'm in the same boat, i have my refreshrate@100fps coz i don't play any games higher than that anyway. Everything which goes below the 100fps starts to stutter regardless of having GSYNC enabled. Luckily, my PC can handle the 100fps.
You may tray adaptive VSYNC? Half of it, so 72 hz for 144 hz set.

Really awkard GameEngine made for Consoles.

It stutters for me at my refresh rate of 165hz. I cap it at 144hz and it runs flawlessly (using rivatuner). Try capping it 10-20 fps lower than your refresh. It's usually because you can't keep your fps consistent with your refresh rate. It's an issue they need to fix but this is a workaround.

Can’t believe my system can’t keep 60 FPS consistent. I have i9-CPU and 2080Ti-Card...
My rig should be able to handle a green plain with 22 guys running around and one ball... :-)
Would be nice if we could set specific refresh rate only for this game somewhere (in graphics menu for example).

For me with ryzer7, 2700x, 16gb, GTX2080 only one think is working on my 144mhz monitor.
I change the game fps in setting to 30fps, And changed following settings in Nvidia control panel:

Same problem as the fu**ing game switch every time back to 7.1. You can save at 5.1 but the game gets a f*ck on that. You can choose between 30 anf 60 frames only...hellllooooo Konami, we are in 2019! Many players have 100,120,144 or more Hz Monitors!!!!!

Best thing you can do: DONT BUY THIS FU*KING ♥♥♥♥ OF TECHNICAL CRAP! If you can't be hard wait until it drops to 15 bucks....

its a football game not fps and it is max 60fps like on console. So 30 is also ok and smoth like i wrote above

then be happy with your 30fps and don't tell people what smooth is and what not. Every game i played so far has no issues with GSYNC or 144HZ, it's either controllable via game itself or rivatuner. Except this piece of CrapSh*tEngine from Konami LOL

Konami either bends their knee to their customers like every company does or should do ... or not ;)

I have no issues with 144Hz on my com. Just so happens my monitor is compatible with Nvidia's G-Sync. not sure whether enabling that helps you but that is my settings.

Best solution for me is this: https://www.reddit.com/r/WEPES/comments/9ckh4z/144_hz_game_stutter_fix/

-While running the game go to task manager
-Right click on PES 2020.exe
-go to details
-click on set affinity
disable the last 2 CPU cores

The Demo feels like some animations and ball physics run n slow motion for me. According to RivaTuner FPS Overlay, it runs at 60fps though.

That's not a solution given you need to do it every time. Capping framerate is better.

As I wrote in my first post capping FRAMERATE doesn't help in my case. I need to cap the monitor refresh-rate... It would be better for me if framerate-cap would help because this could be saved in a game-specific profile, whereas monitor-framerate must be changed every time I play this game...
Agreed. This is troublesome as I've stated in my own post. I'm doing to damn much to play a demo my PC is overqualified to handle! It's like i came in for the Janitor job with CEO Creds
