eFootball PES 2020

Anyone else having micro-stuttering when playing the game using the Steam Link App?
I would love to play this game on my TV using the Steam Link app, and, apparently, it works, but whenever I run a match, the game is affected by frequent micro-stuttering which ruins the fluidity of the gameplay. I can't say the game is unplayable, but still really really annoying, and stresses the eyes too.

The game runs on my local machine with a Geforce GTX 1060 with 3GB of VRAM, while the host monitor has a 1080p resolution and 60 Hz of frame rate. The TV, on the other hand, has the 4k support, but not used, and still the stutters appear. I have a very good connection too, and each device is wired connected.
There are tons of solutions around the web, but none of them work...at least for me!
Did anyone manage to fix this problem? It seems like only PES is affected, even Batman: Arkham Knight doesn't have micro-stutters with the Steam Link app!

Thank you.

I am sorry, I don't get it...

if your monitor has a refresh rate of 60hz, you have to cap your fps to 60 also.

Where should I cap them? In my TV or in the game?

A little tip : Most TV's have to be set in PC mode to be able to play games like PES2020. So if you didnt already, check it.

Whenever I switch to the Steam Link app, the TV is automatically set to Game mode, and it seems like a lot of settings are disabled and can't be changed...

On your PC you have to cap them.
I dont know if PES 2020 has a settings.exe (PES 2019 had)? There you can do it.

Both the gameplay and the replays are set to 60 hz there.

In Steam click "Steam" in the top left corner, then choose "Settings" and go to "in game" and enable the fps counter. Then you can see the fps you actually get ingame.
If you get 50-60 while playing, youre fine. If you get less and it drops all the time, you might want to tone down the graphics settings a bit.
However, if your fps are ok, try the following: while ingame press ctrl+alt+del and open the task manager. In the task manager go to the "details" tab and search for your running pes exe (PES2020.exe or something like that). Right click your exe and choose "affinity" then uncheck "CPU 0" and click OK. Go back into the game and it should run smoothly.

I already tried disabling the CPU, but nothing changed. Besides, how could that help anyway? I am guessing this issue is hertz related, so why would concetrating the entire processing of the game on less CPUs (which are virtual, BTW) help?

I suppose it has something to do with suboptimal programming. Seems like the game lets the first core it gets a hold of compute more tasks than the others. CPU 0 being the first CPU, so the one which is being tasked the most (OS, other programs running), it helps to make CPU 1 the first CPU to task, since its less occupied with other programs.
It did the trick with PES 2019 for me.

Other things you can try is setting vsync to "on" in nvidia control panel or inspector.

I did what you suggested, but nothing changed: still got the micro-stuttering in game.

What does the steam fps counter say while ingame (in a match)?

Micro stutter is not an FPS issue.
