King's League II

Dungeons and Reputation in Classic Mode S Ranking
Everyone who played King's League II should know how powerful the Cursed Pirate Boss is. The boss needed to be knocked back far enough before it activate a chain of abilities in which player can't do anything (and most likely killed key units of player's team), until it decided to charge up an attack. If there is no character has ability which launch projectiles fast enough, basically it is a 1HKO no matter how powerful your team is. Sometimes the ranged units are not knocked back far enough, which made the whole 1 weeks+ expedition nothing but suicidal.

And time is important in achieving S rank mode.

The boss itself is superior than final boss, because of the difficulty scaling based on player's current team progression are inverted. While despite Magic don't really hurt final boss, she can be knocked back while has RNG on casting meteor to kill ur spellcaster. But by the time she did that, the ranged on the backline already dealt enough serious damage. Cursed Pirate Boss should be the final boss, imo, due to its critical attack pattern and weird insane dmg.

Now I am trying to max Reputation points with 4 factions on my 2nd playthrough, and see is it possible in Expert Mode while maintaining no League's defeat, finished all dungeons and S-rank.

Currently many benefits of the Reputation System feels like a "filler". Like, when the player spent a lot of time and finally reached 2000/2000 with Fortiva, they get to see "Advanced Units". But so far I have seen lv 6 Rare units, which is better because I can pick which Advancements they should go. Crystals are also a joke in later game. I believe players are more happy when the benefit is "Recruited Units are more well-trained", why? Because they can fit into player's loadout not even a month with a few training and respectable stats!

This also applies to Ruxus' "Allows more Units in Dungeon Expedition". I would only see that useful if player managed to max with Fortiva on time and send newly recruited alternate team to fight Dragon. Otherwise, it is just a "filler".

Then Mistelle's revealing on enemy formation. I mean... why would an Expert AI so stupid and put Cleric in front, Paladin at the back? I dun need that info!

--------------------
These are my thought after my first run on Classic Mode Expert. Hope it helps!

[UPDATE]
This is a video on Google Drive account showing post-Classic game attempt on the boss, in Expert mode. Please note that the dungeon is unlocked in mid game and is rated as THREE stars. During that time, the front liner might not be rare or perfect units, which means pushing the boss backwards could be RNG. What is seen on this video looks very easy, this is because there are characters with the right skills. But you can see how much damage my units took despite max tech.

Thanks for the great input CatChu! I am Yiwei from Kurechii.
We made quite a bit of rebalancing on the things you have pointed out, especially the reputation gain.

If you happened to give the latest version another try, please share with me how it goes!

Some of the feedback you shared through here and review are really great, but it involved mechanic change. We won't be able to make those changes within short period of time, but we will continue to discuss about it internally to see what we can do to improve the game now and coming months.
