ARRGG are there no cheats for this game?

Even though I SAVED my game before exiting, my inventory was wiped on a later level, and it's now impossible for me to continue if I don't go back 3 levels to at least get 1 light source.

Is there any way to use a cheat command code to grab my stuff, or is there a way to copy my save files remotely and create custom backups in case this crappy bug happens again?
