Wendigo
I'm at the "critical event", witch mean I can't go back if I accept this mission.
But there is still one boss I can't defeat : Wendigo !
Do you have some lead to defeat him, knowing that I miss Mathilda :'( and I hate myself everyday since them.

Yeah... Matilda was the key to winning this mission for me. I suppose Erisolde would be the best alternative, because melee or tanks can't do much here.

i didn't use matilda in the wendigo figth(hardd) i used orowantus (arcane + maxed yellow bar and red bar for more damage and range with the scroll that gives more movements) , Claudia with the fire gun and the scroll for more damage , and tank peony with the earth hammer. Spells , fairy kiss , meteor and the dragon thunder spell. and for summons i used the earth fairy , roc and the wind bird . The idea of the figth is triying to destroy the totems the fastest that you can. hit the wendigo. if you destroy enemy mobss the wendigo loos defense , also if one of your summons dies the wendigo loose defense (i think this is a bug) Also is really funny if the wendigo cast the jackal spell and kill one of his summons

just turtle by healing(mom or pyo), use damage boost scrolls, then just poke with erisolde/owa

The fight can be a little tedious but its the best way. any damage on wendigo will trigger flux, so just try not to let him get too close.

for cards I recommend damage boosts, if you can get erisolde to ult you can almost one shot the wendigo.

summons dont matter because of jackal they will all get killed third roundish. just try to run high damage ones or ones to get buffs out to your party, to help clear the initial spawns

If you beat the wendigo you get
the arcane pistol for Claudia , i dont really used that weapon because i think the fire gun is the best weapon for claudia

Yeah what's good about it? Arcane gun changes description of sword followup, but is unclear in terms of what it actually does.

Thanks for your advices, I'll try them soon, and tell you what works for me.

I copy paste my experience here, as this conversation was useful to me :)
Got it today after a few tries : Eri as 3rd, with +2 move. Peony earth tank with -3 ultra. Claudia as heal teamwork +3. wind howl to get +2 move. Key summon for me was Cyrootori as it one shots new mobs on half the map and is immune to Jackal spell, and any spell in general. Hit and hit, dead in 15 turns or less.

The Wendigo gets a stronger and stronger attack as time goes on. Eventually he can one-shot everyone in his range. What I suggest is to take all three of your spells from the 'attack one unit' group. As the Wendigo's attack gets stronger, just stay out of range, and keep casting 'attack' spells. You can wear him down. All that you have to do is fight the summoned creatures that come close to you, and keep casting ranged attack spells

Most of my damage was Claudia, with fire gun, using her Ultra near 2 other elite enemies. Chain damage decimated it.

Also, the good thing about the arcane pistol is that it removes stacks of Apex whenever she deals damage, so you can crit bosses much faster by getting lots of attacks in with Matilda.

Here's what I did, and it took a long time, 60ish turns. Very tedious but it worked well and I don't think I was ever actually in much danger.

Eri - Repeater, Ultra Req -2
Claudia - Water, Teamwork + 3
Peony - Regular, Mb regen

Spells: Regen, Ultra + 10, Team Rally

Summons: Cryootori, Mimic

I mimic'd cryootori, and slowly sent the three out as a group to attack the totems. At least one Claudia ultra assist is critical so the cryootoris can take a hit. I was rarely able to do much damage so the ultra + 10 was mainly for Claudia to up the teams max health. I think I ended the battle with the characters around 1,500hp. I'd often have Peony closest to the Wendigo when he would cloak attack, he'd only kill her but Claudia would either be close enough so her start-of-turn heal would res Peony or she could assist. Sometimes I'd get lucky and be able to position Claudia next to the wendigo but not do anything so when another unit attacked, she'd melee for bit of extra damage.

What I'd try:
* Oro instead of Eri so she gets the range+aim buff on wait
* Peony with a melee weapon to try to maximize wendigo hits
* Teleport instead of Regen to move the cryootoris more central so they could hit literally anything
* True sight spell instead of Team Rally so I could always hit the wendigo
* I might sub out Ultra + 10, using it for Claudia's ultra assist helped defensively, it might also have contributed to the grind.

Mathilda was key to winning the mission for me. Equip her with the -Def on hit scroll and her ultimate will absolutely pulverize the boss' defence and likely destroy a couple of phylacteries in the process, which lowers its defence even further. At that point it's just a matter of whacking him until he keels over.

My team was Mathilda with the lightning gun for the added range, Claudia with her fire gun and Peony with the ice spear to benefit from the weather's buff, the water gem that changes her movement to Blink and the +Movement scroll so she can actually get into melee range. My team was lvl48 to 50 at the time.
Actually for me the key to winning this fight was Red. I used him with reduced Ultra Traits and Scroll and I used him to farm those Unstable Fae using his Ult to boost his Attack while Claudia and Peony just chased the phylacteries and the Wendigo. By the time I got around to killing the Wendigo, Red was swinging for 600+ damage every ult pop.

The key to this mission is endurance, patience and mobility. My line up was the Phoenix, the Mimic Doll and Fairy for haste backed up by the mass damage buff, mass heal and mass shield restore.

This fight was purposely designed with the idea of "What could be the worst thing I could implement from a gameplay perspective?"

Wendigo is doable without mathtilda

The key was taking out the totems quickly. I used Eri for that.

I used 3 mobile summons, 1 wind (the owl), 1 Earth (the earth knight riding a beetle), and the arcane mimic to copy the earth unit.

How I won was knowing that each time you attack Wendigo, he teleports.

I used my wind unit to speed everyone up 1 by 1 to make units extremely mobile.

First objective is to take out the totems, attack wendigo to have him teleport away from priority units. The 2 earth calvary riders do a great job of substituting heals by instead giving MB.

Since the fight drags all over the map I figured I take a bunch of mobile airborne summons. They can defend themselves from the Wendigo simply by attacking him and sending him somewhere else. Hunting down totems while killing adds with the main group all protected by Tom. When totems or Wendigo port to an opportune position, get some shots in with the main group. Eventually he stops teleporting and you can pop him.

General approach was the Tom-deathball where I just stack Mb and Def through spells on him and make him indestructible.
