The fight can be a little tedious but its the best way. any damage on wendigo will trigger flux, so just try not to let him get too close.
for cards I recommend damage boosts, if you can get erisolde to ult you can almost one shot the wendigo.
summons dont matter because of jackal they will all get killed third roundish. just try to run high damage ones or ones to get buffs out to your party, to help clear the initial spawns
the arcane pistol for Claudia , i dont really used that weapon because i think the fire gun is the best weapon for claudia
Yeah what's good about it? Arcane gun changes description of sword followup, but is unclear in terms of what it actually does.
Got it today after a few tries : Eri as 3rd, with +2 move. Peony earth tank with -3 ultra. Claudia as heal teamwork +3. wind howl to get +2 move. Key summon for me was Cyrootori as it one shots new mobs on half the map and is immune to Jackal spell, and any spell in general. Hit and hit, dead in 15 turns or less.
Also, the good thing about the arcane pistol is that it removes stacks of Apex whenever she deals damage, so you can crit bosses much faster by getting lots of attacks in with Matilda.
Eri - Repeater, Ultra Req -2
Claudia - Water, Teamwork + 3
Peony - Regular, Mb regen
Spells: Regen, Ultra + 10, Team Rally
Summons: Cryootori, Mimic
I mimic'd cryootori, and slowly sent the three out as a group to attack the totems. At least one Claudia ultra assist is critical so the cryootoris can take a hit. I was rarely able to do much damage so the ultra + 10 was mainly for Claudia to up the teams max health. I think I ended the battle with the characters around 1,500hp. I'd often have Peony closest to the Wendigo when he would cloak attack, he'd only kill her but Claudia would either be close enough so her start-of-turn heal would res Peony or she could assist. Sometimes I'd get lucky and be able to position Claudia next to the wendigo but not do anything so when another unit attacked, she'd melee for bit of extra damage.
What I'd try:
* Oro instead of Eri so she gets the range+aim buff on wait
* Peony with a melee weapon to try to maximize wendigo hits
* Teleport instead of Regen to move the cryootoris more central so they could hit literally anything
* True sight spell instead of Team Rally so I could always hit the wendigo
* I might sub out Ultra + 10, using it for Claudia's ultra assist helped defensively, it might also have contributed to the grind.
My team was Mathilda with the lightning gun for the added range, Claudia with her fire gun and Peony with the ice spear to benefit from the weather's buff, the water gem that changes her movement to Blink and the +Movement scroll so she can actually get into melee range. My team was lvl48 to 50 at the time.
The key to this mission is endurance, patience and mobility. My line up was the Phoenix, the Mimic Doll and Fairy for haste backed up by the mass damage buff, mass heal and mass shield restore.
The key was taking out the totems quickly. I used Eri for that.
I used 3 mobile summons, 1 wind (the owl), 1 Earth (the earth knight riding a beetle), and the arcane mimic to copy the earth unit.
How I won was knowing that each time you attack Wendigo, he teleports.
I used my wind unit to speed everyone up 1 by 1 to make units extremely mobile.
First objective is to take out the totems, attack wendigo to have him teleport away from priority units. The 2 earth calvary riders do a great job of substituting heals by instead giving MB.
General approach was the Tom-deathball where I just stack Mb and Def through spells on him and make him indestructible.
