Please add English Voice.

Looking at the subtitles all the time makes me tired, and it breaks the immersion. I want to look at the characters in the game, not staring at the subtitles all the time.

I started playing this game few months ago, but had to stop after few hours because of this very reason.

Judging by the number of the reviews, this game is selling very well.
If the developers add english voice, More people from america and europe will be interested to buy it. I am sure the developers will get their money back. Thanks.

I came here just to read the comments roasting OP and I wasn't disappointed. A fanciful request for an English dub would have been fine, but this reads like an entitled demand from a coddled English-speaker and I'm rolling.
I think your insistence that English-speakers prefer dubs is a bit too much of a sweeping over-generalization. I seem to remember joining everyone in the fervor over Breath of the Wild's English dub, begging Nintendo to give us the original Japanese with English subs instead (which they did). And that dub was with the budget of Nintendo behind it! We just didn't want the dub. Or, well, a lot of us didn't. Having the option is fine and lovely, but that's something a big name like Nintendo can afford to do. They have the luxury of giving their market options. Judging by the lower quality of Gujian 3's translation (with no disrespect), I'm just grateful that it has English support at all. As mentioned, it's more a niche title. Less money to throw around giving customers options like sub v. dub. And when it comes down to the two, sub is WAY more economic.
Back to what I was saying, though: at the very least, you could call the market divided on it. People have very strong opinions re: dubs and subs, and that's fine, but let's not pretend every English speaker needs an English dub.

I was going to add comments similar to Turion's, so I'm glad to see someone else has brought it up. It's totally fine that you think the subtitles ruin the immersion (a good friend of mine can't stand subtitles, so I'm familiar with the sentiment), but I, personally, think the opposite. The game is deeply entrenched in Chinese culture and history, so I would be really jarred by these Chinese characters speaking in English. The Chinese language is much more fitting to the atmosphere of the game because it actually matches. I mean, maybe you're not someone who's bothered by that, like when German Nazis in WWII movies are inexplicably speaking English to each other--but that gets me every time. Again, I'm not here to say that your opinion on it is invalid because, hey, that's how you feel; I'm only trying to urge you to see that it's possible for English-speakers to feel the exact opposite, and therefore the assumption that an English dub will make or break it for this game in an English market is wholly unfounded. This seems more like a You Issue, which is fine, but at least pose it like that instead of pretending you represent all English-speaking gamers everywhere (literally pulling up all the English-speaking countries, lmao, I can't).

Plus, if you're so put off by the Chinese language and insistent that everything be English-fied to THE MAX (let's remember it's been subbed! you can play the game in English!), I'm not sure you're really going to dig the Chinese aesthetic of the game, anyway.

So I'm sorry you get tired reading subtitles. I would however just encourage you to try branching out more. Watch some foreign films, perhaps? It would be easier for you to get used to subtitles than for the studio to do a dub. Just a thought.
Or just let it go? All the other comments make valid arguments about why an English dub is unrealistic.

All the big budget Chinese / Japanese games i know have English voice.
Starting from the series Final Fantasy, Monster Hunter, Metal Gear Solid, Devil May Cry to name a few.
Do they break immersion?

English voice may not be as good as native Chinese, but it is far better than subtitles.
Because subtitles are also written in English. You can't get anything more from the subtitles which you can't get from the dubbing. Only less immersion, because you have to constantly read the texts in the bottom, instead of looking at the game's characters.

The reason that a lot of people including English speakers are not bothered is that sometimes the dub can be so bad that it is immersion breaking. Also you have kinda answered your question as this is not a high budget game like the one that you are pointing out.

well, the truth is... the company is not profitable enough to add english voices. Even though this game is selling very well. And for another reason, consumers for this kind of game like Wu-Xia, Xian-Xia theme are most chinese. It is created from story or legend of ancient Chinese. Many dialogue in the game is Ancient poems of China which only make sense for Chinese players. I agree with that America is the biggest economy in the world. But it's not the biggest gaming market nor Wu-Xia gaming market. There is still a long way for Chinese Wu-Xia game...

It's a game based on ancient China. Chinese culture, especially Chinese language and culture, is very profound. Many things can't be translated or understood in English.

As an American who love this game and created a thread about why it is a shame this game is not known in the Western world, I totally disagree with the OP.

First of all a lot of the reasons why there will never be an English dubbed had been answered. The profit margin is too small and there are no money to do it. We are lucky to even have English subtitles.

Secondly this shows how educated in the West especially the United State have suffered greatly. The average Americans doesn't read books anymore for leasure. The average reading speed for most Americans are not fast enough to able to read subtitles. It is a sad as an American myself to see that.

Thirdly, its not true that if there is an English dubbed, it will be more known here in the U.S or western world. Ever heard of Yakuza series? Its pretty popular in the west. From my thread I created, there are many reasons why its not popular in the states or the west. Sadly

Why are people saying America etc, America isn't the only country where English is spoken/read. Games are generally made in English language as its widespread & has better reach and I belong to another country with diff. native language. Nonetheless, my point is that games should be taken as games & shouldn't be region specific, and giving the option of selecting diff. voice language & subtitles are basic. Would thanks devs if they could do this for their amazing game, will definitely play this masterpiece.

Honestly, I'd rather see them put some money into translating the previous 2 Gujian titles and making sure the translation is consistent across all 3 games, or having one for Gujian 4 on the table so I don't need to wait years to play that after release.
