First of all, this quest is timed. You have to get the first two notes on the first run, because some of the floating rocks will fall down when you stepped on them, which makes the path into the Point of No Return. Second, these links show your the location of the notes on the game map. If you can't read Chinese, just look for the blue texts (characters written as "诡异的留书·#" on the image), and these blue texts are the locations of the 5 notes.

Note #1: this one is near the cliff before you encountered the mural of the eye for the first time.

PS. The bottom of the image that says "湖水岸“ is the starting point of this entire map, and the first note is at the top written in blue)

PS. the exit of this map that leads to the next town ( written as "阳平“ in the image) is at the top-right corner, aka. the spot you fought the boss. In other words, the 5 blue texts from bottom-left to top-right are note #2, #3, #4, #5, correspondingly.

Also, don't forgot to use the environment-object-detection skill (CTRL key), the notes should light up. I hope this helps.
