If you don't have Temple but you still have a Flash installation that's simply inactive, you may be able to do the same with your own Flash.ocx file. (Assuming you're on Windows and able to play this game at all, it'll be in Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash or Windows\SysWOW64\Flash, or possibly both.) Your mileage may vary; the version packed with this game is 10.3 r181, and I really can't speak for whether or not versions higher than 10 will work.
I doubt there will be an official update to fix this issue, but I'd love to be wrong.
Thanks for the site - I got the game to finally load, but only after I also changed Win Compat to Win 7. And it still crashed on the new game screen. Another to just put aside for now...or maybe forever.
