x button snap or slide
Hi,
when i press the x button to do a snap, the board sinks about 50cm straight down into the wave. when i try a slide , on the bottom of the wave i sink too. sometimes i can lean back and pop out of the water, but most of the time i just stop and sink under and behind the wave. (in realistic mode). this doesnt make sense to me.
aerials are now a LOT easier (thanks :) ) after the white screen scrash fixed.

Hi,
to do a slide with the x button you have to tap the x button fast an repeatedly while leaning to the side. Did you try this? It works best when you are in a flat section in front of the wave.

Thank you for your feedback. i see the slide, a bit like a tail flick in the right situations. i use it a lot to score points in the point scoring sessions and the contests. I also use L2 and the joystick to do tight turns, i find I can stay on the wave and control the surfer better with L2 pressed once at the right time.
However I am still finding it difficult to use the x button. It seems most of the time it immediately sinks the nose down (for a nose dive) and there is no recovery. Sometimes hitting the x near the lip or the top of the wave results in leaving the wave (aerial). sometimes a snap, sometimes both a snap and an aerial. But most of the times i just bog out when i press x near the top of the wave.
it also occurs sometime on the bottom of the wave (immediate 50cm under as a nose dive). and sometime i get a slide or a tail flick.
The Barcelona girl surfer goes deep into the water, the Bilbao dude surfer goes into the water, but not as much.

I find this to be a bug, that you may easily be able to correct (?). It sometimes works as intended, but most times i end up under the water.

Its not as if i just want to find bugs, i am playing it a lot, having fun, getting some really nice tubes and waves when it is glassy. i was getting over 70km-h in the tube at glassy pipe, but going back to the other waves is also fun.

Really kills the flow when you hit x and it decides what its going to do lol needs to be separated and more variations for each button not really sure why this isn't a priority to fix and expand

Hm, sounds like the jump button increases the weight sometimes. We'll give it a closer look. We'll check if we can separate it. there was a lot of confusion about it.

yep - exactly as I see it ...i use L2 to crank the turns as it works well and lets you shape the turns .... roundhouse cutbacks... pseudo snaps ...layback hacks ( ish) etc ( all scored as top turns bottom turns) ... snap button is a spin the wheel roulette kind of option ....whats it going to be ...whats it going to be ... ah no... submarine.

You come flying out the tube rise up wave going into cutback ...hit the trigger and crank the turn ...off trigger switch turn heading right up into the pocket crank turn hit trigger carve right round ....air drop a bit off breaking lip ...hit the flats ...tail stall into barrel ..... and you get TOPTURN 120 deg 400 pts haha ...I did get one combo score pop up which reminded me of kelly slater...

...the fact you can do it now and feel like you are doing it, is great. Now need to find time to complete enough mines to get pipe!
