I saw a let's play where the player got frustrated because he couldn't handle the cam at all.
Also our fault, we need tutorials.
About the spawning.
You can quick save and load, check it here:
https://waveor.com/php-html/virtualsurfing.php
Means you can quick save everywhere on the spot, even if your on the wave, in the tube or whatever. quick save will save the entire status of the surfer and even the camera.
The cool thing: Its instant, like no loading time, means you can save when you have a high speed, and the try an aerial again and again.
I tried weighting the tail and and nose to try and duck dive through breaking waves a curved red line flashed on left of board? I also noticed a blue hue around the board another time -what do they indicate?
The weighting of the board is great and improving the feel doing this is clearly what its all about ...is there going to be a kick tail action for tailoring duck dives ...can you stretch out your duck dive by changing nose to tail weighting..... I'm starting to get a feel for sink tail turns but it still feels seems random, I do like that when you get it wrong you flap around like a wounded seal .....
still way off getting a feel for the surfing but realising this is all about proper weighting of the board .........as it is in real life of course...
foam trails, boils, closeouts, sitting on board just off peak....caught inside...duck diving your way out....accurate line ups to use with foam trails etc for position.... other surfers ( players) in the line ...good surfing rewarded / bad surfing and etiquete punished...point of view option....
It sounds like this is shaping up to be amazing for free surfing and potentially exploring future online copies of local breaks around the world. With maybe even the emergence of online localism hahaha( where of course good surfing gets rewarded and bad surfing ( technique/ etiquette, punished)
When I keep thinking of parts of the game that need improved ...I soon realise it was me that needed improved haha ....its going to be tough but worth learning, just like the real thing!
