Lossless causing system crash in TFD
Hey everyone, I’ve used lossless in a lot of games ever since I got it and it’s always been great. I’ve had some issues but nothing I wasn’t able to fix through research and stuff. I’m just looking for some help here as I really want to use Lossless in The First Descendant. I played the first week or so without it, using their in game FG and had an update that somewhat tweaked the ingame frame gen and It felt choppier and I felt more noticeable input lag. (I’m saying this to emphasize that I’ve had no crashes up until using lossless scaling.) Thats when I started trying to use lossless and no matter what trouble shooting I’ve tried, after checking every discussion I could find nothing has stopped it. At any random point after cutting on lossless FG, anywhere between 30 sec-30 min it will inevitably crash in the same way. Completely freeze the entire pc, seemingly indefinitely until I force shut off the PC.

I’ve set lossless to power saving, I’ve tried performance mode, I’ve turned off scaling, I’ve tried x2 and x3, also went back the previous version of frame gen In lossless, overclocked, set clock speed to 2615mhz, etc. The only thing I can think of doing that I haven’t is Is maybe unchecking HDR support. Someone also mentioned completely uninstalling the application and related files even from registry, which I haven’t done. I’m at work now so I can’t keep troubleshooting it at this moment, but if anyone has any advice please let me know, anything at all. I don’t want to have to deal with the input lag from the in game frame gen, or have less than 120 fps lol

GPU is an AMD 7900xtx

Does it work in your other games?

New with this program, but i am guessing that you need to have the GPU load at max 95% without FG enabled.

Give the GPU a bit of headroom for when the LS is enabled as it take resources also. Also noted that the GPU usage is far greater if you have native 4k on desktop as LS works far better with a lower "seperate" resolution on desktop.

What you need to do is tweak for stability and not visual fidelity before upping detail. Work it out before you can have fun.

And overclocking is not the solution if PC freeze so remove that.
