Could Lossless Scaling add VR support?
It seems like it'd be a game changer for many lower-powered VR machines.

Could be awesome if it could be used in a game like Half Life Alyx. Im still amazed on how well Lossless Scaling works on flat screen in every game ive tested.

AH, so it doesn't support VR yet then?
Would be down if it gets VR support added.

It technically supports VR, in that it will work on any window that is rendering. "Problem" with VR is that most headsets have their content exclusively/directly streamed to the headset. So there's nothing for LSFG to capture and overlay. Though i have seen it reported that people have managed to get working on something like Bigscreen or Virtual Desktop.

Good point.
It would be nice to squeek some more performance out of VR, as I run it on an actual potato - Minisforum TU83R -

I wonder if it would work with the HTC Vive?

I believe you can change projection modes in SteamVR's developer/advanced settings/menu. If you can get it to not stream directly to headset, but mirror an image that is being rendered to your monitor/desktop to it instead, then you may be able to apply LSFG to that.
