Lossless Scaling

Lossless Scaling

Base FPS loss?
On my RX 9070 XT I'm noticing a pretty significant base FPS loss of around 10 FPS. As an example in Expedition 33 get about 64 FPS in a specific spot with my example (measured with the AMD Adrenaline metrics), but when I switch to Lossless Scaling's Framegeneration (no matter which type), I get 53/106 at 2x scaling.
Is that to be expected or an AMD thing or is there anything I can do about it?

The base fps drop is normal, LS needs GPU power to do its job. Try a lower LS flow scale settings for more performance. Also turn off scaling if you don't need it, if you use the LS1 scaler try its performance mode.

sure, disable the amd metrics as the overlay is interfering with LS

Hmm, that doesn't seem to be it - I just disabled the metrics and even closed all AMD services in the task manager. I still get the base FPS loss according to the lossless scaling framecounter.

Edit: Presentmon and tools that are based on it like HWInfo64 will interfere with lossless scaling, however, the AMD Metrics do not.

Thank you! Still a great app. Just wanted to confirm if everything is working right.
