Laggy & unresponsive mouse cursor in upscaled visual novels
For some weird reason, after updates and such this app always gives me an headache. So, I'm only using this app to upscale VN's. I don't need it for anything else. To be honest, I actually rather use Magpie sometimes, since that app is much more lightweight. But then again, Magpie gives me now and then actually issues with upscaling in the sense that I get black bars on all sides of a VN (Koikari for example).

For some particular reason, when using LS the mouse cursor gets unresponsive and laggy after upscaling certain visual novels (Koikari for example etc.). I'm using basic settings, I haven't changed anything from default, but I did in fact select Anime4K as upscaler.

Anyone any idea how to troubleshoot this? Much appreciated!

Yesterday I tried Magpie again. My knowledge of this app, probably concerning LS as well, is limited. Through threads online I learned all kinds of new stuff. So, I mentioned that with Magpie I sometimes have this issue with black bars all around the window of a game (Koikari etc.). You can actually fix this by applying, for example, Anime4K 2 times through "add effect". Essentially you can apply all different kinds of upscalers and effect after eachother. Not recommendable obviously, but this fixes the black bars issue with Koikari. And, to my surprise no issue whatsoever with a lagging mouse cursor. I recommend searching reddit for some good advice on what upscalers to use in combination of eachother, with as much preservation of details as possible. For visual novels this is pretty important, you want to keep the original quality of the art intact. I'm satisfied with this solution, because overall Magpie uses less resources than LS in my particular case. Even when playing a VN, usually LS makes my fans spin pretty loudly. In the case of Magpie they are basically silent.

Edit: I forgot to mention that applying 2 times an upscaler to get rid of black bars has to do with the original resolution of said game! Good example is a game like Majikoi (900x800). Though truth be told, I didn't have this issue with black bars in this game with LS. Only with Magpie.
