Lossless Scaling

Lossless Scaling

Any way to reduce artifacting?
Noticing visual artifacts at the bottom of the screen. I know it’s normal for frame generation (I’m using v2 at 2x with fps limited at 30 for target of 60) but is there any way to reduce it?

Not a game killer for all games but some.

to reduce artifacts:
1. higher base frame rate
2. lower FG mutipliers (higher rendered frames:generated frames ratio)

Honestly no, 30fps is below the recommended base frame rate for LS frame gen. Even DLSS frame gen will artifact with input frame rate that low.

Increase the real images to 40 fps and generate them at 60. This is the maximum you can do against artifacts. But don't give more than that in real images because there will be stuttering.
no other way than dropping settings to improve framerate to get a higher base. for x2 aim at least 50fps after losless is working

Unfortunately I only have a 60hz monitor and going over 60fps causes me tearing and stutters. And settings wise playing assassins creed shadows and my laptop gets only 40fps max on lowest with DLSS quality

play something else you are trying to play something way out of your hardware capabilities
lossless creates zero artifact but for that you need to play with a super stable flat 60fps
below that you're trying to cheat your way out of something impossible, nivida making people think you can play at 18fps x4 is a complete lie you can't
think of it like this below real 60fps imagine that your keyboard turns on and off every 2s
type...off.....on....type...off...on...type
you can have 500fps if the game engine doesn't react because it's "off" it's an horrible experience

I have a powerful pc but I can tell you if a game doesn't run min 60fps I don't play it like stalker 2 or back then deus ex mankind thing I launched the game had 13fps I uninstalled, move on to something else you can't fix so low fps

30fps should be the absolute minimum fps and x2 the maximum generation or you're trying to play "into the void" if you get what I mean

I’ll just stick with the artifacts then. Because apart from a bit of distortion at the lowest part of the screen I am happily having fun playing on 30fps with LSG X2 on and it feels smooth as hell compared to with it turned off :-)

Basically this.

You can easily test this, cap the game at 30 fps, set Frame Generation to 165 and... the wonderful world of a schizophrenic AI will show up.

The game I ran was a 3rd person one and running around in it made the screens edges super wobbly and heavy ghosting around every moving object(including my player character).

LOL thinking at that I think I should try running GTA V at 30 fps and generate it to 165 while turning on "motion blur" and driving a fast car through the city. I think the only thing that is a better high would be actually getting high.
