Lossless Scaling

Lossless Scaling

Need precise info on possible second GPU for lossless scaling.
I read this guide and searched for more information concerning a second GPU for lossless scaling.

It is useful but limited.

MY setup 5800X3D 64GB RAM ASUS B550-E montherboard.

I have an RTX 3080 10GB with a 3440x1440p 120Hz monitor.
I am using x2 frame generation at 60hz base frame rate.

The card I may buy is the low profile RTX 3050 6GB.

The question is - powerful enough?
How exactly do you determine this?
Is there an online table somewhere, or some calculator?

I AM NOT interested in using any other card due to its size & power consumption.
Second hand low profile cards for say an RTX 2060 seem to be too expensive.
It is just wasting my time searching. I am not mixing AMD and nvidia cards in the same machine.

Eidt: The RTX 3080 is not good enough for the game settings I want + lossless scaling in some games. If the GPU is maxed out or close, then it is very stuttery. This is why I wish to maybe use a second card.

If there is no certain information , then will be waiting until the mid range nvidia and new AMD cards are out.

Useful info appreciated.

Thanks
