Lossless Scaling

Lossless Scaling

I can only get a black screen when using DXGI ...
May it with a game, a TV show, an app etc ... no matter on what I try it, with every settings possible I always get a black screen. It is driving mu nuts, I tried also verifying files, deinstalled and delete all files correponding to it and reinstalled it and still same issues ...
I got it working on everything before, even Tv show and movies, it was awesome. If I use WGC it tank performance and do the total opposite of FG, it divide it by 2.
What happened to this great soft ? It used to work pretty well, and now I can't get it to work anywhere, been trying all sorts of fix but nothings works ...

LS should be launched on GPU which it connected to screen. It's not related to GPU you select in LS. Usually LS does it automatically setting itself to use the needed GPU in Windows graphics settings, but perhaps something is broken. Can you check it? Sometimes you also need to set it in Nvidia control panel.
I have G-Sync and HDR, these settings work fine (always play in borderless window mode). UE4 games, random indie games etc. Whatever is not shown is default / off / 0.

I have only one gpu and one 60hz monitor. Checked in nVidia control panel and everything looks alright. I figured how to make FG works using WGC ingame, but the FG for movies and series was prettu cool. Maybe I need to use an older version ?

Okay I have found the issues ... I am using ScreenWings, it is a little soft that blacken your monitor so if my computer is infected hackers can't take screenshot cause all they got is a black screen (usefull when buying stuff on internet, etc ...). After closing it and used the DXGI method it worked ..! Sorry for that

Hi, I'm having the exact same problem as OP but don't have anything installed like ScreenWings. I tried locking LS to my 3070 in graphics settings but that didn't seen to help. I just updated my nvidia drivers so that may have broken something :<

if you have a cpu with an integrated gpu you should try to change it in winodws settings. If nothing works disable all overlays (idk if that's still a problem, but if you have nvidia filters turn them off.) if you have hdr enabled try disabling it or enebling hdr option on lossless scaling.

Make sure capture API is set to DXGI or WGC in LS, and try the game in different display modes (windowed/borderless).

Got it figured out, thank you guys. I think the driver update did the "optimized settings" thing and switched a bunch of my games from borderless -> fullscreen. LS is working again, I just didn't realize all my settings got messed up lol
