Lossless Scaling

Lossless Scaling

Locked at 30 fps
Am running this program on my msi claw a1m.
It was running great playing elden ring getting 65-80fps on x2 scaling.
Yesterday I noticed it was locking at 30fps even though my frames were reporting higher than that.
Basically I was getting 40-50 fps in game and LS was knocking it down to 30 fps.
I uninstalled and did a restart, which fixes it.
Next day I'm back to square one, locked at 30 fps again. No reinstallation is fixing it.
I fiddled with the scaling settings to see if I could get different results but nothing seems to work. Turning on vsync changing capture method etc.
If anyone could help, I would really appreciate it.

Can you think of anything that might be forcing an FPS cap on LS? Or maybe you accidentally used the half-refresh rate vsync mode in LS?
So trying to narrow it down and discovered windows installed a new arc graphics driver, I had no idea it did.
In those settings is an "endurance mode" which restricts fps to conserve battery.
I have turned this off bit can randomly turn itself back on after a restart, which is really annoying.
Have it back up and running with good fps.

Yeah, Windows Update will sometimes just, download drivers.
If you're forgetful I guess it's nice, but it's often a PITA as it can actually downgrade your drivers if you download them straight from Intel or whoever.

Glad you figured out the problem though, hopefully you can figure out why it turns itself back on and how to disable it for good.
I fix it by changing display gpu with dedicated gpu in the nvdia control panel
