Lossless Scaling

Lossless Scaling

Lossless freezing for specific games
Lossless scaling has recently been locking up and freezing my screen. Specifically in Tarkov. Its like the application crashes and gets stuck on a generated frame. I cannot click off it or even tab out of it. When i close the application it hangs and i need to force close. The only way to get the game back is to Alt-Enter in full-screen mode. I'm just wondering if there are any reasons for this or if i'm doing something wrong. I can provide PC specs or Lossless scaling settings if needed.

Yeah same with mine, for example wuthering waves laatest patch.
Same here
Squad 44, Squad, Insurgency Sandstorm too...
Sometimes, LS stop to working, i have to start it again.
Game freeze and stop for Squad 44 and Squad.
Windowed mode, LS1, LSFG 2.3 mode x2, administrator
144Hz cap at 72FPS
Well In Tarkov i am experiencing the same issues ... Alt-tab with the LS app will fix it ... But yes... It occurs...Now I started to use another Capture API - WCG instead of DXGI, so far everything good

How did you get WCG to work with tarkov. the only one that doesn't break my game is DXGI. every other one gives me about 1 to 2 fps from my base of like 80 or 90.

I experienced LS hanging, but I could hear the game running further in the background. my issue was a problem of not enough vram, eg vram running full.

I'm glad I'm not the only one having this issue. It's been going on for me since I updated my PC to W11 24H2 and thought it was that. Sucks when driving a Semi in ATS and the screen hangs and the next sound you hear is the truck slamming into an overpass pylon. It's definitely a problem caused by LS.

Could be lack of VRAM. Try playing at a lower resolution to see if the problem goes away, also lower the texture setting if necessary.

I dont think its a vram issue. This is happening on all systems. even at lower resolutions it happens. Most people i would assume are running this with a lower end rig. but im running a 4080 16gb vram. shouldn't be a problem.

Happened the same, i used it everyday for a month and no problem, i think it's a thing in this patch

This has been happening since previous patch, I tried to use this on Wuthering Waves last year and it has the same problem as the OP mentioned. Though it only happens in that game as far as the games I'm playing.
Same thing happening for me in star citizen which is the only game i use it on. Has been happening since before 3.0 update, and doesnt matter whether i use frame gen or not.
I unscale via CTRL-ALT-S then rescale again and that clears up the stuck screen till it happens again.

Ouch. Sucky. Has anything changed recently on your system to prompt that?
