Lossless Scaling

Lossless Scaling

Problem with loss less scaling with any game on windowed mode
So normaly to have the app working you need to put your game on WINDOWED MODE or EXLUSIVE WINDOWED etc and it should put your game at fullscreen anyway .

When you clic SCALE on the app and go back to your game

But when i do that with any game (i tried with Ghost of tsushima, dragons dogma 2 , and others), i have a fullscreen black , with a tiiiny screen of my game in the middle.

I don't understand.

Can someone help please

Either Windowed mode or Borderless, there's no such thing as Exclusive Windowed mode, there's only Exclusive Fullscreen, which does not work with LS.
If you have a windowed game and "Scaling Type" set to "Off", LS will center the window on your screen without scaling it to full screen. Select a scaling type to fix this.

LS1 is good for 3D games
I use LS1 is games that don't have sharpening artifacts and FSR in games that do. In 3d games you might also try "Sharp Bilinear" or "Bicubic CAS".

Probably only use Anime4k for anime, VNs and video content, as its computationally expensive and it smooths the image to a point where you lose detail.
Nice , thanks guys for all your informations and advice, ill try these settings one by one and see on wich games with one fits well

This is what happens to me no matter the settings, no matter what scaling type i choose, no matter any setting i change, the damn thing spits the same result everytime, the program just refuses to scale no matter what i do, the Dev doesn't seem to believe it so ignores the problem though this is happening to many people
This happens to me on GTA V. My monitor is 1440p, but I only run the game at 1080p. When I enable lossless scaling, the GTA screen is stuck in the center, and the excess is just pure black. However, it works well with AC Valhalla, where after enabling lossless scaling, it actually covers the entire screen. So far, I have only tested it on these two games.

Set Scaling Mode to Auto, and Scaling Type to LS1.
Late to this thread I know

This happened to me recently and what ended up fixing it was changing the power settings

Windows for whatever reason forced the Lossless Scaling app to run with a low power profile. I was able to change it and the application works properly again

Should be somewhere under power settings in the settings app. Hopefully this can fix it for someone else
