Lossless Scaling

Why FPS displays 30 / 48
Any idea why it shows at 48 fps?

When i turn on lossless scaling fps counter, it becomes 30/48. I can always make the game run at 60 fps at FSR ultra performance, but i want to keep some quality with a lower fps with FG.

LSFG adaptive 3.0, fixed provides the same result.

Left are display unit specs, middle top are the GPU and Riva tuner settings, middle bottom is a screenshot of the 30/48 fps, right is the lossless scaling

Note that on older versions, doing WGC can force it to 60 fps. When i change to DXGI, on older versions, it goes to 30/48 as well. Even when i watch youtube anime videos.

On beta, WGC will display 30 / 48 as well

Try Max Frame Latency 3.

With Max Frame Latency 3, it is now like 50% of the time 30 / 60 and about 50% of the time 30 / 48.

To get 30 / 60, after pressing Ctrl Alt S, I must get 30 / > 54 on the second frame, then it will go to 30 / 60

To get 30 /48, after pressing Ctrl Alt S, I must get 30 / < 53 on the second frame, then it will go to 30 / 48.

30 / 60 vs 30 / 48, adaptive 3

A plague tale requiem 50 % / 50 %
The talos principal II 10% / 90 %

Not GPU constrained
Tried changing monitors
Tried changing from HDMI to VGA
Not succesfull

Try it with LS 2.13.2 and 3.0.0.1, they are in the betas tab.

30 / 48 (DXGI) stutters, 30 / 60 (DXGI) is smooth, 60 WGC is smooth, not as smooth as DXGI

3.0.0.1 - WGC gets 60 (quite smooth). DXGI - 30 / 48, very seldom 30 / 60, and it drops to 30 / 48 very soon after.

2.13.2 - WGC gets 60 (quite smooth). DXGI - 30 / 48, very seldom 30 / 60, and it drops to 30 / 48 very soon after, GDI - no screen controls.

The new beta with adaptive framerate seems to have WGC not working, i might have to stick with 3.0.0.1 for now.

To get DXGI 30 / 60 hold continously, (provided I successfully turn it on), i have to adjust the flow scale from 100% to 25%

Update : Beta and 3.1.0.2 looks like the same to me?

Correct, WGC is no longer supported in LS on Windows versions pre-24H2.

Setting the target adaptive framerate to 48 (beta) gets me 30 / 38 FPS. O_o

Setting the target adaptive framerate to 72 (beta) gets me 30 / 60 FPS, but it is not smooth.

For my own records :

Watch anime : Use 3.1.0.2, adaptive DXGI 72 fps
Gaming : Use 3.0.0.1, WGC x2 60 fps
