Lossless Scaling

Lossless Scaling

[Closed] When using Lossless Scaling, the output fps is limited to 60 (which is lower than the monitor's refresh rate).
No overlay is enabled on top of the game.
Neither in the game nor in Lossless Scaling there is no fps cap, input fps is above 60.

Windows 10 22H2
LS settings:
Administrator rights: ON
LSFG: OFF
CApi: DXGI
Queue: 1
Sync: off
Frame latency: 1
Changing any of these settings literally changes nothing.

I'll even say more, when using “Action!” (analog of bandicam, with forced overlay enabled), LS says that the output fps is equal to the monitor's Hz, but the game continues to be displayed at 60 fps.
Without LS, the game is much smoother (because the game image is not limited to 60 fps).
By “game” I mean any application

Issue: Global frame rate limit enabled after graphics driver update.

I don't want to sound like an idiot, but LS was working fine until recently, as it should. It turns out that after the latest graphics driver update, a global FPS limit was indeed enabled on my system.

I never turned this setting on myself since I have a 60+ Hz monitor, so I assumed it was disabled. Besides, it's hidden away—I thought only Radeon Chill and Vsync controlled FPS limits.

On the other hand, this setting didn’t affect any of my other games after the driver update, but for some reason, it kicked in perfectly in LS. Like, I get a stable 100+ FPS in games, but in LS it was stuck at 60.

Sorry for wasting your time.

Did you set your monitor's max refresh rate to it's maximum capability?

Yes, in the game I selected the maximum possible refresh rate of the screen, even double-checked through the buttons on the monitor

So what's the monitor hz in the Windows display setting? DId you accidently set a global 60fps cap or a cap on Lossless Scaling itself? Have you tried both adaptive and fixed framegen?

No, I didn’t set any limits. In the AMD graphics driver, neither FPS cap nor V-Sync is enabled— I double-checked that yesterday. And no, I don’t have any background programs running that could theoretically cap the FPS or interfere with the Lossless Scaling app. If needed, I can send a screenshot of all running .exe processes on my PC— maybe I’m just missing something.
At some point, I suspected the second monitor since it runs at 60 Hz, but even after disconnecting it via Win + P > PC screen only, nothing changed—the 60 FPS cap remained.

I’ll give it a try, but I’ll only be able to respond on that closer to nighttime in my time zone—that’s in about 5–6 hours. I'm at work right now
