Lossless Scaling

Lossless Scaling

Scaling above capped fps?
Played space marine 2 with LSFG and was all working great. Fps was capped ingame at 60 and lossless frame gen used to get 120.

All the sudden when I press scale it puts.my capped fps down to 30 and does like a x4 frame gen and the frame gen ends up being out of wack at some ridiculously high number.

Is this a latest nvidia driver update or Windows update causing this? I can't seem to get LSFG to work on any game now all the sudden.

Please help!

Try the driver that you had before. It that doesn't work use driver 552.44, which is known to work with the 24H2 update.

How to roll back driver correctly?

Use DDU to uninstall the driver, then install the older driver. Try 552.44 first.

Im having the same issue, i tried reinstalling the app but that didnt work. it gets slightly better with performance mode on but still its not the same as it used to. Im having way more artifacts too. I tested it with many games and it tanks around 10 to 20 fps and the "120" fps im getting feels very awful

Same issue as in you have your ingame fps capped but when you apply lossless it's ignoring the cap and putting your frames all over the place?

If so, I reinstalled my current nvidia gpu driver and it has fixed the issue for me. Lossless now performing as intended - ingame frame rate capped at 60 and lossless doubling the frame gen to 120.

So I tried updating my nvidia drivers instead of a fresh install and it still doesn't work as intended. I am dropping from a solid 110 fps in beamng.drive to 60 with 3x frame generation.

Edit: the gpu usage stays the same at around 95% percent which doesn't make any sense to me. I also tried fullscreen borderless or limiting the fps to 60. It would always drop the frames and they would be inconsistent

What's your GPU and resolution? That drop doesn't look unusual, it's a 45% drop in base framerate (110fps->60fps) for a 63% gain in displayed framerate (110->180).

I'm running a rtx3060ti fe and two 1440p monitors

Okay so i may have found my problem, I upgraded to a second monitor not long ago so I didn't think of that being the cause. I turned one of and tried to use the frame generation and it worked flawlessly like it used to! No frame drops or bad frame times. (At least when i turn performance mode on) This seemed to be the cause. Now I am wondering how I can run this without interference. Any ideas?

Edit: it looks like it helped turning of the second monitor but the issues isn't resolved complelty. Now I go from around 90fps (higher load) to around 60-70 and even if i lock it to 60, it drops 10 more to around 50 it doesn't make any sense

I think you are talking about a separate issue mate.

I'm having the same problem.

Just tried this but it didn't work for me unfortunately. I capped my fps to 82, and when I turn on FG it lowers to 61-64. I did install a Windows update and Nvidia driver update so it's likely that something broke. It worked fine before.

Maybe it's some sort of compatibility issue so that some systems don't work well together? I don't have anything installed that could interfere so it could only lead to the setup. I hope this gets fixed somehow with future updates
