Launch without steam?

Is there I way I can launch this app anywhere without steam?

yes. open from the exe directly.

(i just pin it to my taskbar and launch it from there instead of steam)

then something is wrong. when you install it and run it the first time its supposed to create a registry entry that shows you have it installed through steam. when you launch LS it checks for this entry, and are able to launch the app without steam running. i would reinstall the app and run it again, other than that not sure what else you can do.
