Lossless Scaling

Lossless Scaling

Lower FPS then native when using Lossless Scaling
Sometimes it works and doubles my fps, most of the time its lower then what I have and not matter want setting or version/beta it is the same. I have a high end PC.
AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-Core Processor 4.15 GHz
32.0 GB Ram
RTX 3080Ti
my GPU is 20% Utilization
with Frame Gen off or on I only get 20fps (fps draw) from my native 60.

That's normal yes Lossless and AMD's AFMF 2 reduces your base FPS by quite a lot.

Therefore it makes sense using these software if you already have a high base frame rate such as 120 FPS and more

It becomes useful for 240 HZ monitors to 540 HZ

Did I not write correctly?
When the program is working, draw fps shows 60/120 when I'm frame gen-ing, and when it's acting up my native fps shows 60 from steam, but the draw fram shows 12\24 or something super low causing super bad fps and frame gen issues (because low fps), but even turning frame gen off and only having upscaling the drawfps numbers are the excaly the same and only is the game playable when turning off the app.

Sometimes when playing X4: Foundations I get this issue. When enabling lossless scaling and framegen, the built-in overlay from lossless scaling reports I'm running at 45 FPS, but my game slows down to 1-2 FPS. Disabling scaling/framegen and retrying a bunch of times seems to fix this behavior. I also get a pretty consistent crash in starship troopers: extermination

I think it really depends on the game. With Elden Ring, i get a slight drop in FPS but then the doubled FPS from LSFG makes the game run so smooth its glorious.

In other games I load up LSFG and my frame rate halves haha

I have never noticed frame drops when using it, but definitely a game to game thing. I'm playing modded fallout 4 London and I just have to keep trying, closing and reopening until I get it. At this point I just been using it mainly for the upscaling but I might just go Native resolution.
Its just super weird that the fps is super low even with all the settings off (no upscaling or frame gen) when the issue is occurring.
