Youre not implying the game would look worse like that, right? Like I get that its called "Lossless" Scaling for a reason, but yknow, doesn't the process of interpolating/upscaling back not use much resources?
Sorry I'm not educated, neither have I used the program yet.
The app was original designed for Integer scaling options, which meant preserving image quality on a pixel level instead of making it a blurry mess when upscaling your game from lower resolutions to higher ones. It just meant that it looked sharper.
However, the app has grown beyond this in scope and since then introduced FSR, NIS, and other scaling options for games, and.. of course now the app has frame generation.
So yea, the name isn't really a indication of what to expect from any new scaling methods. It's simply referencing it's original app intent.
I see. So Integer, FSR and NSI are part of the options, scaling types perhaps? Which options would work best for my case and specs, or is there somewhere I can learn from?
As for where to learn, there's a guide pinned to the top of LS's discussion-board and answers to many questions that have been asked before can be found through it's search.
Search Youtube for examples on image-quality, i suggest Daniel Owen's video.
And you can always buy, try and refund LS if it doesn't work out for you. Steam has a 2 hour, no questions asked, refund window.
