Lossless Scaling

Lossless Scaling

Can't double FPS to 240
Hey
I play Rust with a FPS Limit @ 120fps

When I use X2 Framerate my FPS goes down to 60 and generate x2 FPS to 120

My Monitor is 240Hz

What's your GPU usage while running Rust at 120fps without framegen? Are there heavy framerate fluctuations? What's the render resolution and GPU?

GPU Usage is @ 80% Usage (RTX 3080)
I have constant 120FPS without Lossless Scaling

And your resolution? A 4k/1440p 120fps -> 240fps framegen needs a lot of GPU power. Try capping your framerate to 80 and use a x3 framegen to get it to 240. And make sure that your monitor is actually set to 240hz.

Did you try disabling Vsync in Rust?

Oh yeah 3440x1440
But how can my Rog Ally Triple FPS with almost 0 problems on high gpu usage ?

Update:
Also when I'm capping to 60 FPS and use x3 I get 120 FPS

Ok, then try 80fps x3, or lower your graphics settings or render res.

Look my Update: Also when I'm capping to 60 FPS and use x3 I get 120 FPS

Check if there's a global 120fps cap in RTSS or the GPU control panel. And check your monitor hz settings. Reboot your PC, that can often help.

The is no global FPS cap. My Monitor is set as 240 Hz.
Is Gsync a problem ?

Maybe. Can you get above 120fps without LS? If yes, disable Gsync in NVCP, reboot after that.

Yes without LS I get about 140 FPS

Then try it without Gsync. Check the LS framerate counter in-game, the first number is the base framerate, the second number the fps you see.
