Lossless Scaling

Lossless Scaling

Stuttering / Not working :((
When im trying to use this program my game is just stuttering as hell, FPS gets iven worse then before using it. I think i done everything correct, i cap my game FPS on 72, use borderless window. I have no idea what is wrong. Here is my specs: AMD Ryzen 5 5600, AMD Radeon RX 6600 and I also have 16GB of rram, and my monitor have 144hz. Games I tested: Helldivers 2, Minecraft, Elden Ring and Cybeprunk. Any ideas what is wrong? Thanks in advice :)

That's either a GPU- or CPU-limit or a combination of both. Try a lower monitor hz and corresponding framecap or lower your render res or graphics settings until you get the desired result.

Thanks i'll try that

Still nothing, i tested every possible frame cap and monitor refreshrate and its still laggy. But also I find out that even when the program is not running, my games gets worse performance despite that i revers graphic setting to normal, the only one reson to fix that is to restart my computer

Laggy and stuttering are two totally different things, so what is it? Does it stutter or do you feel input lag? The latter would be normal to a certain degree.

lag could mean the video bogs down a bit (not necessarily stuttering nor 'input lag'). it happens to me in some cases.

Try frame gen when game is window mode or borderless mode. Also use performance mod which is light version of default frame gen.Turn on HAGS in Windows Settings-display.Use Lossless Scaling fps counter where you can see two numbers: real which you are locked and generated, which must be x2 or x3 depending of level framgening you choose.

Also when you lock frames through videocard's panel you must turn off lock specific for Lossless scaling.

I think its stutter because game freeze for a second

In every game? Did lowering the graphics settings and resolution help a bit? Maybe try the previous LS version, you find v2.9 in the Betas tab.

try setting a global fps limit in the amd center. like 140hz. set also vsync to on in radeon software, whether you disable vsync in the game you wanna play. set riva tuner statistics server to a fps cap of 70. maybe that helps.

Game framerate is not locked. This causes LS to use additional GPU resources and therefore you have stuttering. You can see that LS can't even reach the target framerate, that means your GPU is at 100%.

What cap do you use? What does the LS framerate counter show? What's the GPU usage during framegen? Does the cap work?
