Lossless Scaling

Lossless Scaling

Windows 24H2
Frame generation basically doesn't work on Windows 24H2, I'm not sure if this is an AMD GPU driver support issue for Windows or if it's a Lossless issue, anyone else experienced issues with 24H2 and Lossless?

Best open a support thread in the #support channel in the app Discord server.

I'm also experiencing issues on 24H2. Had Skyrim capped at 60 and enabling frame gen caused FPS to spike down to the 40s and making it very stuttery. Using RTX 3080

Do you also have an integrated gpu? If you do you need to change the setting "preferred gpu" from auto to the 3080

Same problem even with Nvidia.

Upgraded to 24h2 and realized frame gen freezes up web browser videos forever, and the fps display shows insane numbers, like 240 as the base fps, probably due to my 240hz monitor, and then 600+ frame gen. It just stays frozen til I disable. Didn't have this issue with 23h2.

Frame Gen 2x works for me with 24H2 in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands and Remnant II. I have not tried other games yet.

Just checked in Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and that worked too.

I will give 2x a try maybe its an issue with 3x and 4x only?

Nope, not working for me, instead of doubling FPS it massively lowers them and the fps counter goes crazy even with a game that's locked to 30 fps natively.

Still having the same issues on 2x, SCUM, ARK, GTA5, and EFT all the same results, claims 700+ fps while only giving 30 or so haha, there's been many posts in their Discord over it so I'm sure a update is being cooked up :)

Could be a video driver thing? I'm using Nvidia's 560.70 with an RTX 3080 10GB.
(And make sure to use DDU or something similar to remove the previous driver version before installing the one you plan to use.)

It was working fine before I installed Windows 24H2, so it's defiantly related to that version of windows, it could be a driver issue but AMD is yet to release a driver for that version of windows, reverting an older driver will achieve nothing, it's ok for now as I'll just used AMDs own frame generation for the meantime, while I wait for further updates.

That doesn't sound like a specific 24H2 issue, that's more like the usual framerate drop because LS needs GPU power (and some VRAM) to do the framegen. Check your GPU and VRAM usage with RTSS, lower the render resolution to 900p if you play at 1080p, to 1080p at 1440p, or 1440p at 4k, scale it back to fullscreen with the LS1 scaler. If you exceed your VRAM use some lower-res texture mods.

Ya, but did you try thoroughly uninstalling your video driver and installing the latest one?
