Lossless Scaling

Lossless Scaling

Where do I get filters to be used in lossless scaling?
Just saw that when creating new profiles, you have an option to add filters, what file can I use for this?

Those are filters in the sense of narrowing down a search, rather than what you use to upscale an image.
You use those to tell the program to use this profile when scaling that/those specific program(s), or windows with a specific name.

Lossless Scaling has no support for custom filters in the image-upscaling sense. I guess in theory you could modify and replace the shaders in the install directory, but I don't know how you'd go about that and it obviously wouldn't be officially supported.

Hover the mouse over it to see the tooltip, that's just the field for selecting the game exe for Auto Scale, alternatively you can enter the window name.

filter as in sort out which window you want upscaled.

you can't add filters like reshade or new upscaling methods if thats what you were wondering.

Not just Auto Scale; it also checks if the program/window you're scaling has any associated profiles when using the hotkey or the Scale button countdown.

I was confused why exist and searched the internet and found none on regards to this. But I do see a shaders folder in lossless scaling though.

Thanks, didn't know that they have tooltips.

Basically, just, don't worry about it. Just look at the tooltip on the filter field like Gizzmoe said to learn how to use it, and (considering your question seems to imply you haven't been using filters on profiles) use it to help streamline your Lossless Scaling experience by having settings apply automatically depending on game or application without having to manually select the profile or even all your settings beforehand.
