Use With Other Apps Without Opening Steam PSA

Just a little FYI for people who want to use this with games on other platforms, but don't like having to open resource hog steam to use.

Go to the install location of LS and make a shortcut, then place it on your desktop. Now use that instead of the original one Steam made. That's it. Now you will be able to open Lossless Scaling only, and use it for games not on steam without running Steam too.

Does that mean I can use it with Fortnite and my Xbox controller will work properly... If I use a hand now from Stan but Steam is open, my control starts acting like a mouse and I can't use it.

Yes, but a better solution is to turn that stupid ♥♥♥♥ off in Steam.

While you have your controller plugged in, Settings>Controller, click "Edit" on "Desktop Layout", click "Edit Layout" and manually unbind every button and stick.

To clarify, the "Desktop Layout" is what Steam defines what each button and stick does when a Steam game isn't currently running, and manually unbinding everything there will make it so Steam doesn't try to make your controller act as the mouse or anything.
