Lossless Scaling

Lossless Scaling

Getting worse results activating Lossless Scaling
My Laptop:
* Acer Nitro 5 AN515-57 Notebook
* Intel Core i7 11800H
* Intel UHD Graphics Integrated Video Card
* GeForce RTX 3060 (6 GB)
* 16 GB DDR4-3200 DDR4 SDRAM 2xCrucial
* 144Hz Integrated Monitor (set to 144Hz in Windows)

LS Settings:
* Version 2.9
* Scale LS1
* FrameGen LSFG 2.1 x2

I test every setting, and always get worse speed and fps.
I have tried Youtube, Ryujinx, DuckStation, PCSX2.
No matter what I try, I always get less smoothness and FPS.
For example, in the DuckStation with the Castlevania SOTN without LS I get 60FPS, when I activate it I only get worse fps.
Activating LS in the main windowed emulator window with the game running.
In the upper left part I can see that it says 83/66 but everything is much worse in terms of performance and speed, when I press CTRL+ALT+S to deactivate LS everything works smoothly at 60 fps.

For more test i delete the config file in "%localappdata%\Lossless Scaling" for resetting settings to default and try again change any settings

If I activate Performance mode everything looks much worse than natively and the slow fps persist.
In GPU i set Automatic (Default) for test, Nvidia RTX 3060 Laptop GPU, Intel UHD, no matter what I configure, it always goes the same in terms of worse performance
Changed the scale to any listed value, changed frame gen to 2.1, 1.1.
I test every option, enabling and disabling

Have you tried a frame limiter like RivaTuner? This software requires that you are staying at a consistent baseline fps for it to work effectively.

Also can't be in exclusive fullscreen mode, and disable any overlays you may have (steam, shadowplay, etc)

I set with emulator config, for example in DuckStation get consisted 60FPS in Castlevania SOTN, All the test are always in Windowed Mode.
No Steam running, No overlays, only FPS show from LS

Any can help me please?
Try LSFG 1.1, it uses less GPU power.

Whoops, I missed that part, I only saw "Intel UHD" in your first post :)
Try enabling Admin mode in LS, restart it after that , also play around with the Vsync settings of the emulators and in LS. Does LS work in other games?
I'm having the same problem, but after reinstalling Windows 11
With the Admin Mode activate, after restart LS i get these results
LS config: 2.9
Scaling Auto
LS1
LSFG 2.1 x2
AutoDetect Graphics Card
All games running in Windowed Mode (not full screen, not borderless windowed), when i click CTRL+ALT+S the LS make the windowed screen in full screen.

* DuckStation with Castlevania SOTN: Little Improvement (but heavy Input Lag)
Game runs at 60FPS (Locked)
LSFPS UI: 94/60
Game runs at good FPS (worse than without LS) and nothing smooth.
- Setting manually Graphic Card to RTX3060
Game runs at 60FPS (Locked)
LSFPS UI: 116/124
Game runs perfect but nothing is smooth. No input lag.

* DuckStation with Silent Hill: Micro Improvement (but noticeable Input Lag)
Game runs at 30FPS (Locked)
LSFPS UI: 101 / 65
Game runs at good FPS (worse than without LS) and nothing smooth.
- Setting manually Graphic Card to RTX3060
Game runs at 30FPS (Locked)
LSFPS UI: 122/119
Game runs perfect but nothing is smooth. Little input lag.

* Riujinx with RDR: Less FPS (no noticeable Input lag)
Game runs at 30FPS (locked)
LSFPS UI: 64/34
Game runs at 23-25FPS (worse than without LS (29-30FPS)) and nothing smooth.
- Setting manually Graphic Card to RTX3060
Game runs at 30FPS (Locked)
LSFPS UI: 88/52
Game runs poor (worse than without LS) and nothing smooth.

* PCSX2 with SIlent Hill 2: Very poor FPS (no noticeable Input lag)
Game runs at 30FPS (Locked)
LSFPS UI: 33/69
Game runs poor (worse than without LS) and nothing smooth.
- Setting manually Graphic Card to RTX3060
Game runs at 30FPS (Locked)
LSFPS UI: 122/109
Game runs poor (worse than without LS) and nothing smooth.

Now testing a Windows Game
* Streets of Rage Ramake windowed mode.
Game runs at 60FPS
LSFPS UI: 61/38
Game runs at half spped (all in slow time), super smooth (ghosting)
- Setting manually Graphic Card to RTX3060
Game runs at 60FPS
LSFPS UI: 115/111
Game runs at good speed (worse than without LS) and nothing smooth.

*Starfield (Borderless Windowed Fullscreen)
Game runs at 45-51 FPS
LSFPS UI: 28/48
Game runs at poor speed (like 7-8FPs), noticiable artifacts on movement camera. Little Input lag.
- Setting manually Graphic Card to RTX3060
LSFPS UI: 99/73
Game runs at poor speed (like 18-23FPs), noticiable artifacts on movement camera. Little Input lag.

In my case, when I disable LS I get better results than when using it.
I only get decent but no better performance when I manually select to use the RTX 3060.
