Lossless Scaling

No free version
DEVS if you see this, and hopefully you do. Make sure that this doesn't get put on any free websites that have pirated games. People should have to pay for such an amazing tool as this, and they will if they really want/need it.

I mean, I'm with you, this is an awesome piece of software and it's rather cheap to begin with, but you just ain't going to stop pirates from doing pirate-stuff. They always will.

Correct. And I think it was not ok that Crazy and Mašinka Tomáš mentioned the sites where you could possible find it, those sites don't deserve advertisement.

It needs to have a trial/demo, so people can test it and make sure it's for them. I'm sure this would help with people picking it up and with sales in total.

There already is- if you buy something on steam, you can test it for up to 119 minutes and then refund it.

That's doesn't help sales at all, most people don't know or use that feature, an official trail/demo would get more people in.

There used to be such but it was not used by anyone and it was removed.
It contained limited basic upscalers and no FG, so it is pointless and it was the best decission to kill it.

the dev would have to implement some heavy drm to prevent it from being pirated. regardless its far too late for that.

pay the $6, launch the game from the exe (not from within steam so you dont rack up gametime), and if it doesnt work well enough for you to justify the price then refund. simple. its cheap, its not like you have to spend $60 to try it out.

This is so irrelevant to anything I've been asking in this thread. It's a suggestion I made to my friend recently. They would have tried it if there was an official way to test it out, and that's why I'm here. Why would any of you be against a trial? What is your goal here? Why is a suggestion for a trial getting so much backlash? Are you people not thinking? These responses are frustrating and unhelpful. I'm unsubscribing.

Well, the demo is still available using a steam trick but it has only 4 basic upscalers like nearest neighbour, interger and some stuff like that, you can claim it via steamdb.
But as I said- the demo is very old and useless version because it is limited to 4 basic upscalers and no other functions (no v-sync, no allow tearing, no different capture methods, etc.). I'm not the developer, but I have communicated and discussed that topic with him due to sharing the mentioned points that you find "useless".

You must be kidding. hahaha

Its cheap even for my country ♥♥♥♥ coin. Asking for more is almost abusive, considering how good this tool is. Its better than afmf in many situations if not all.

of course we are thinking, $6 to try it and if you do no like it, refund. SIMPLE. thats your trial. i rather the dev spend more time into new features than try rig some timed trial for a $6 app. IF your friend doesnt want to try with steams "if you dont like it in 2 hrs or less, you get your money back" refund feature, then they weren't that interested in the first place.
