Frame generation for 30 fps in 60 FPS stream
Very specific question. I guess it won't work but maybe someone has an idea.

I am currently playing around with Amazon Luna Cloud Gaming. A constant 60 FPS stream, no matter the game performance.

If I get a constant 30 fps I game, is there any way to get frame generation to work although the video stream is always 60 FPS?

Wow, it doesn't make sense that cloud gaming only gives you 30 fps in game.

But you can still try this

1) cap the cloud programme to 30 fps, hopefully it won't further slow down your game.
2) activate x2 framegen.

Might sound stupid though.

I was stupid to suggest capping the cloud programme to 30. It doesn't need that. Even worse, it makes the streaming window slow as help.

But in fact, you can only do it if you have a monitor higher than 60 hz. In that case you can proportionally increase your fps using LS.

I tried that, the problem is: The game stream gets recognized as 60 FPS and those are even interlaced to 120 fps. Does not work making 30 fps smoother, though.

I have bloodborne streaming from PS5. The streaming was 60, the game was sure lower than 30.

I boosted up the streaming to 75 fps, of my monitor's refresh rate. It was smoother, but not feeling 60 anyways.

It is possible that for prevention of syncing issues, Amazon sends 30fps as a 60fps stream. If it does, you are out of luck.

Yep, as others said - capping the stream to 30 somehow would be the way to go. Perhaps you could add the Luna application to your video driver control panel and cap the max fps that way? You should still end up with 30fps, hopefully, just in a 30fps "container", which you could then double or triple using the yellow duckie.

This could work if the stream does not rely on a 60fps output. A funny/undesirable outcome could be the game running at 50% speed if it does..
