Lossless Scaling

Lossless Scaling

Lossless Scaling lowers quality without increasing FPS?
For context, here's my laptop specs:
Model: Asus G750JW
GPU: GTX 765M (equivalent to GTX 650)
CPU: i7-4700HQ
RAM: 32GB 1600MT/s CL10
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 1TB
OS: Windows 10 19045
Display: 1920x1080p, 95Hz

When I use LS1 upscaling, I put any game k play in borderless windowed, performance mode turned on in LS 2.9. I will lose a couple fps on the built in counter when I activate it, no matter how much I scale the game, 1.5, 1.7, 2.5, 3.0., and the strange thing is, I see the resolution decrease as well, so I lose quality and I lose performance. Has anyone else experienced this? I tried the same Application on another laptop that has a GTX 840M, and the fps increased as the resolution did. What am I doing wrong?

if you are using it for upscaling then you need to change your game to windowed mode (borderless doesnt work properly)

I just tested out on Assassin Creed Odyssey the Game Pass version. In an idle scene,

1) native 1080p (borderless) gave me 90 fps

2) changed the game to 768p, windowed, desktop in 1080p. Activated LS with LS1 auto, no fg, above 100 fps.

The graphics are very close. Can't say which one is better.
