Is the framegen better than the amd?
I have a 7900 xt just wanting to know if people tried already before buying it

Yes alot less input delay and with amd especially on rtx cards you have to run fsr which scales you down where with this you can run native frame gen

from what i hear people tend to like LS frame gen better, i cant use fsr3 so i cant compare, one user was combining both fsr3 and lsfg lol, i cant imagine using both would be ideal tho but i would totally try it, for the science. :liam_al:

No, FSR 3 is better :) LSFG comes close but tendens to artifact schimmering on screenedges. But since the last patch it is much better. But i am a little bit worried about power consumtion.

Seems like LSFG nearly double my Watt needed, i hope its only a measure error.

I think the OP meant AFMF, not FSR3 ;)

Yes.. as someone with many powerful gaming/dev rigs(my job).. I've tested this on both RTX 4090, 7900xtx and everything down the line to a laptop 1070 lol.. I've used AFMF extensively and I've literally stopped using it. Everything about lossless scaling is just better.. LS1 > NiS > FSR1.. when it comes to frame gen by a fairly large margin I would say LSFG.. especially 2.0 is just better than AFMF..

I would say that AFMF being proprietary to the card gives it an advantage of being more efficient but it works far worse than LSFG 2.0. I would say that AFMF is comparable to LSFG1 before the 1.1 update.. now it's actually worse than LSFG 1.1 lol.. I also find AFMF to be more unstable than LSFG.. I've had AFMF cause a lot of crashes in older games, etc. As far as hardware based frame gen.. I would say FSR3 is a bit better on an actual AMD card but not so much on a older GPU or non AMD card.

I mean it's supposed to work the same on everything across the board but it doesn't seem to. DLSS3 FG is by far the best but I mean it should be since it's a specific damned AI optical core for it.. sooo.. yeah. Pretty much goes DLSS3 FG > FSR3(AMD Card) > FSR3(non AMD Card) = / > LSFG 2.0(like LSFG 2.0 properly setup is surprisingly close to non AMD FSR3) > LSFG 1.0 > AFMF(lol) .. it is what it is.. honestly I think AMD could of made AFMF better. I mean it is getting better slowly but at this point it's just TV AI frame gen with less latency lol.

I think they will be pressure by Xbox/Playstation to improve it a lot for console sales tbh.
