It doesnt seem to be working for me.
the scaler fps counter is staying locked at 60/60 for me i don't understand is there a setting i missed that needs to be turned on? i've been messing with this application for probably 30 minutes now and it seems like its not doubling my frames

Did you set a framerate cap? If yes, how did you cap it? What's your LS settings and monitor refresh? Check out the pinned Guide&Tips for the basics.

yeah I did, set fps cap, confirmed my monitor refresh at 60hz

I'm using nvidia image upscaling
LSFG 2.1 in X2 mode
capture api is set to DXGI
Lossless scaling is targeting the monitor that i am running the game on

So you set your framecap to 30 I assume? With what? In-game cap? Afterburner/RTSS?

in game cap at 60 fps

Cap needs to be half the refresh rate. It's all explained in the Guide I had mentioned ;)

I read the guide and it's telling me the recommended is 60 fps.

i changed my settings according to the guide and it still refuses to work.

Look at #3 of the Guide::
"3 - Cap your in game FPS to half your max refresh rate. If your hertz isn't evenly dividable like 165 just round down (ex 82)"

Yes, 30/60 is correct, it's working. It won't generate frames past your max refreshrate, because it would be pointless to generate more "fake" frames than your monitor could handle.

whats your screen hz? if your screen is 60 hz then that would explain it. even if the app let you go past your screen hz, you wouldnt get any performance improvement, since the frames it generates won't be displayed, and it doesnt improve the game performance. if your game is 60 fps, and your screen is 60 hz, then you wont be doing any favours for yourself in running lossless frame gen. i should mention LS is an overlay that improves the visuals of videos and games, it doesnt technically improve the game performance, it makes it worse, it takes a screen with enough HZ to benefit from the frame gen, unlike native game framerate which actually improve response times in games.

ok i guess i need to get a better monitor then. really held back against that because so many are egregiously overpriced. thank you for the help.

Maybe get a used 90/100/120hz monitor, should be very inexpensive.
